*Huge* thank-you shout out to our not one, but SIX 2026 Teen Feed interns! Our interns help Teen Feed run every day of the year. This year we had to privilege of hosting four social work practicum students, and two undergraduate interns:
-Bo D. (BSW practicum student, Umass Global)
-John M. (MSW practicum student, Seattle U)
-Brianna H. (MSW practicum student, Umass Global)
-Kevin S. (MSW practicum student, Boise State)
-Anna F. (UW UCBI - Advocate & Outreach Coordinator)
-Abby R. (UW UCBI - Advocate & Admin Coordinator)

We couldn’t do this without the amazing Bryce from Ryther supervising our social work interns.

We can’t wait to see what your next chapter holds – sincere thanks for lending your time and talents to Teen Feed this year, interns!

ONE week from today, we’re tabling at the Doorway Community Resource Fair on June 5th β€” come say hi! πŸ’™
We’re excited to spend the day in community together, connecting folks with resources, good food, and a little karaoke fun 🎀

Seattle’s Best Karaoke is a sponsor as they prepare to close their brick-and-mortar location after 35 incredible years in Seattle (we’re emotional about it too 😭). Come ready to sing your heart out in celebration of a true Seattle staple!

And back for their second year in a row: the amazing Meat Bros food truck πŸ” Thanks to the generosity of a Teen Feed donor, attendees will be able to enjoy some seriously delicious food while at the fair.

We can’t wait to see you there!

On Saturday May 2nd, Teen Feed Board, volunteers, donors, interns, staff, and partners came together for the youth-led Street to Trust CafΓ© Brunch. Youth trained for weeks to help prepare food and to support this important event. Over 100 people, including State Senator Valdez, showed up on Saturday to the University Congregational United Church of Christ to support Teen Feed’s mission.

This week, Teen Feed was honored to have not one, not two, but THREE of our incredible UW students present at this year’s Spring CELEbration, a forum for UW students to showcase their community-engaged work, leadership, and activism.

Both UCBI student interns Abby + Anna are Advocates at our nightly dinner program, building 1:1 connections with guests. Abby also does backend admin work in Salesforce, and Anna also helps lead our weekly Outreach shifts.

Former Teen Feed UCBI Daniel, still on the team as a Dinner Engagement Coordinator, also gave a lightening talk about his Mary Gates Scholar project with the Husky Culinary Club, where they taught cooking classes at our drop-in program In-Reach at UDYC – even making muffins for our Brunch last week! 🧁

Fantastic presentations Abby, Anna, and Daniel – we’re so grateful to have you on the Teen Feed team, providing the youth we serve such holistic care ❀️

Our volunteers are the heartbeat of everything we do for the youth we serve β€” this April and every day, we celebrate YOU, our incredible volunteers.

In 2025, our extraordinary community of 2,000+ volunteers helped us deliver 31,545 nutritious meals, welcome 702 unique guests, and reach 12,315 individuals in need. THAT is the power of showing up.

Thank YOU, our volunteers, for giving your time, your energy, and your heart to Teen Feed’s youth – we wouldn't be here without you πŸ’›

We're excited to welcome Dave Ralston to the Teen Feed Board of Directors! πŸŽ‰
Dave is a residential real estate broker and local taphouse owner who has built his work around a simple belief that place matters: where you live, where you gather, where you feel like you belong.
A proud North Seattle resident for over 20 years, Dave believes everyone deserves to be seen and to feel a genuine connection to the community around them. He's excited to support an organization that knows compassion and connection aren't extras β€” they're the foundation everything else is built on.
We're so honored to have him with us. WELCOME, Dave! πŸ™Œ

We're honored to welcome Katie Porter to the Teen Feed Board of Directors as our new Philanthropy Committee Chair! πŸŽ‰

Katie joined our Board in 2025 driven by a deep commitment to our core mission: providing a safe space where Seattle's unhoused youth can access a healthy meal and supportive services, every single day. As a mom and longtime Seattle resident, she quickly recognized the vital role Teen Feed plays in meeting basic needs with compassion and humanity.

With 25 years of experience in advocacy, government relations, and philanthropy, including her current role as Senior Officer at the Gates Foundation, Katie brings incredible expertise and passion to this work. As Chair of our Philanthropy Committee, she's dedicated to securing the dollars, relationships, and resources we need to keep showing up for Seattle's young people.

Katie, her family, and friends cooked an absolutely delicious meal at Teen Feed this past Thanksgiving Day ❀️ We’re so grateful to have you on the Teen Feed Board – welcome, Katie! πŸ™Œ
