Teen Feed is a meal and support coordination program meeting the basic needs of homeless and street youth ages 13-25. Teen Feed provides meals and supportive connections to youth every day of the year, and averages 50-80 guests each evening. During the Teen Feed meal youth access basic needs items, support coordination staff and advocate volunteers, providing relationships and consistency they nee

d to transform their lives. In 2014 Teen Feed
- served over 21,700 meals to over 900 individual youth
- worked with 750+ volunteers who provided over $100,000 in food donations
- provided 315 youth with support services
- provided 100+ youth with healthcare access services
- served youth in Seattle's University District, Auburn, and Rainier Beach

Teen Feed’s Garden Club is in full swing at UDYC! Our youth have been really enjoying the chance to plant and grow edible plants, learning gardening skills along the way. Our Garden Club wouldn’t be possible without our lead Lorien, who is completing her Environmental Capstone internship with the UW Program on the Environment. Here’s to a fruitful rest of the summer! 🍅🥕🌿🌱

Melissa Larson has been leading the Liberty Mutual Meal Team (alongside her co-lead Kacie) since 2002. Over the last 24 years cooking every month, Melissa, Kacie, Liberty Mutual, their friends, and family have fed thousands of youth thousands of meals. People like Melissa make Teen Feed possible – THANK YOU 💖

This July 2026: 31 meal teams cooked 3,100 meals for 1,700 youth guests (average of 54 youth per night).
This is thanks to the substitute meal teams who got us through July – the thinnest month of the year for volunteer coverage.

Teen Feed is excited to welcome D’Nika Jackson to the Teen Feed Board of Directors! 🎉

D’Nika is currently the Senior Director - Individual Giving of United Way King County. Throughout her career, she has focused on connecting community donors with programs and services that improve people's health and well-being. She cares deeply about youth advocacy, health, and equity, and believes that providing a hot meal and a safe space for homeless youth is an important first step in building trust and showing that someone cares. She looks forward to signing up with her friends and family to prepare a nutritious meal for the community members who rely on Teen Feed every day.

Teen Feed is recruiting On-Call Engagement Coordinators: a part-time role with flexible ad-hoc schedule, filling in at our nightly dinner program to: lead operations, facilitate volunteers, and connect with youth – acting as relationship guides for youth in crisis, providing a hub, resources and hope.

We’re tabling at the Young Adult Resource Fair (YARF) at the Central Branch of the Seattle Public Library TOMORROW — come say hi!

📍Central Library, Level 3 - Living Room
🕚 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

So much fun awaits: community partners like us will be tabling to share resources (find us on the 3rd floor!), you’ll find a burger stand on the plaza with free food, tarot and astrology readings, haircuts, pet care, and art projects. If you know a youth, tell them about the resource fair!

If you're a youth 13-25, come by for a hearty meal and hydrating bev to recharge. If you're a volunteer, we need dishwashing volunteers the night of the 4th! 🧼🍽️

📌Where: University Unitarian Church: 6556 35th Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115
🕗When: Saturday, June 20 @ 10AM - 2PM
❓Why: We are looking for approximately 5 Volunteers to come and help us with the UUC Garden Work Party 2MORRO, Saturday, June 20th from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM. (Young kids are welcome to attend as well, and there will be plenty of parking).

UUC is hosting a garden for Teen Feed’s garden program, and they need help to get the "pizza" garden started for our youth! 🍕🍅🌿
