On behalf of the entire CGI Seattle family, we are deeply saddened to share the passing, of Chava Kavka Edelman, beloved daughter of Rabbi and Mrs. Kavka, founding members of Camp Gan Israel Seattle.

Chava was part of the CGI Seattle family both as a camper and later as a cherished staff member. Her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit touched the lives of so many in our community. She went on to found Chabad of Olympia together with her husband, and later moved to Milwaukee, where they led a Chabad center — continuing her lifelong dedication to the Jewish community.

Our hearts and prayers are with the Kavka and Edelman families during this most difficult time. May Hashem comfort them among the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem, and may Chava’s memory be for a blessing.

From thrilling trips and creative projects to outdoor adventures and Jewish fun, each day at camp will be a new experience!

Your child will enjoy age appropriate swimming, arts and crafts, team-building activities, and more. Every day is filled with opportunities to explore, grow, and make lasting memories with friends.

And the excitement doesn’t stop there! 4 out of 5 days a week, professional coaches will be coming in to lead a specific sport of the week for each bunk. Whether it's basketball, soccer, or another exciting sport, your child will receive top-notch coaching while having tons of fun outdoors.
