We gathered once again for our monthly Lhakar — an evening of coming together as a community to eat Tibetan, wear Tibetan, speak Tibetan, and celebrate our beautiful culture.
Always wonderful to see everyone gathering, sharing food, enjoying each other’s company, and keeping our culture and traditions alive together. Thank you to everyone who joined us!

What an incredible weekend 8/8-8/9/2026 it was! This year’s Tibet Fest was especially meaningful as we celebrated our 30th anniversary right in the heart of Seattle at Seattle Center.
One of the things we are most proud of this year was having all local artists, representing three generations of our Tibetan community. Seeing our elders, adults, youth, and children come together to share our beautiful culture through music, dance, and traditions was truly special.
From the TAW momo booth, TLCS’s refreshing mango lassi, and the amazing vendor booths joining us from Portland to Vancouver, BC, to our laid-back Saturday dinner, every part of the weekend reflected the warmth and spirit of our community.
Most importantly, none of this would have been possible without our dedicated volunteers. So many people gave their time, energy, and heart behind the scenes to make Tibet Fest a success.
We are so proud of our Tibetan community and grateful that, for 30 years, Tibet Fest has given us the opportunity to share our culture, traditions, and Tibetan spirit with the larger Seattle community.
Thank you to everyone who performed, volunteered, participated, supported, and came out to celebrate with us.
Here’s to 30 years of Tibet Fest and many more to come!

49th Day Prayer for Pawo Lobga Rangzen
Next Wednesday, August 19th, marks the 49th day of Pawo Lobga Rangzen’s passing.
Pawo Lobga Rangzen showed extraordinary bravery, dedication, and unwavering love for our homeland, Tibet. His sacrifice was a powerful reminder of the deep love he carried for our people, our culture, our identity, and the hope for a free and peaceful Tibet.

As we mark his 49th day, let us remember not only the sacrifice he made, but also the message he left behind. May his courage inspire us to continue standing together, preserving our identity, speaking for Tibet, and carrying forward the aspirations he held so deeply.
Let us gather as a community to pray for Pawo Lobga Rangzen’s swift and auspicious rebirth, honor his life and sacrifice, and offer our prayers for Tibet and for our brothers and sisters inside our home land.

Tsok Contributions: If you would like to contribute to the tsok, please bring your offerings downstairs before 6:00 PM so we have enough time to organize and distribute them during the prayer.
