Rainier Valley Food Bank RVFB stands as a trusted community resource, serving as Seattle’s busiest food bank.

RVFB is the primary emergency food resource for Seattle’s most racially, ethnically, and economically diverse neighborhood, and home to many people of color, immigrants, and refugees who regularly face systemic obstacles to living wage employment, affordable housing, and food security.

Expanding food access takes collective effort. One important partner in that work is Beacon Food Forest, a grassroots, community-powered ecosystem offering 7 acres of open harvest sites where anyone can harvest, alongside p-patches like the one that gives back to our food bank.

Food should be easily accessible, and partners like Beacon Food Forest are an important part of making that happen. Their organization is seeking support as it faces a significant funding shortfall. You can support their efforts by becoming a monthly donor.

We are truly grateful for the community we've cultivated together. You gave generously at our gala, nourishing our vision of care, camaraderie, and hope that thrives because of strong, interconnected systems. Together, we raised over $268,000 to fund food access and invest in South Seattle's resilience. Building community strength and a network of neighbors who care for each other is something we're truly proud of.
