Hello everyone, I’m Kelsey Osburn, an 18 year old senior from Seattle, WA! As MFE’s Graphic Designer this year, I am mainly responsible for designing posts for our social media as well as revamping our logo from time to time. Currently, I am the 2nd violin section lead for the Evergreen Philharmonic and I study under Marcus Talley. Over the last school year, I was commissioned to create various artworks which included all things from character designs for Slalom Build (a global consulting firm) to Relay mentoring’s Logo and Favicon. After attending MFE’s summer concert live, I was very impressed with its cause and am honored to take on the Graphic Designer position. I am very excited to bring my creative background to MFE and cannot wait for what else this year has to offer 😁

Hello! My name is Michael Lim and I am a 17 year old cellist from the Seattle area. I am a senior at Issaquah High School and a Second-year student at Bellevue College pursuing an Associates in Science. Despite the stress of senior year, I have been able to stay very happy by taking to eat lunch with friends, taking impromptu trips to study in the UW β€œHarry Potter” library, and listening to podcasts. Go give β€œThe Korean Vegan” a listen!!

I joined the Musicians for Equality team last year along with Lisa, and we made a lot of great memories. Whether it was staying up until 2:00 am formatting programs for our in-person concert, or if it was our weekly planning calls, there was always a good laugh no matter what. I am excited to make even more memories here, and I am looking forward to sharing them with you guys!

Hello all! I am Aydin Iqbal, a 16 year old clarinetist from Seattle, WA. This year, I am a Junior at Issaquah High School. I have always found fulfillment in sharing music with everyone I can reach, and I am extremely excited to join the MFE team as Assistant Director to help me further accomplish that goal. I am also very grateful to be the woodwind section leader and principal clarinet of the Evergreen Philharmonic Orchestra. Outside of my music life, I enjoy going to the movies with my family, and exploring nature. I used to live in Texas for a while, so being able to witness the beauty of Washington is a very exciting change for me. During the summer, I got to perform at the first MFE live concert and was blown away by what the organization is doing. Helping young musicians gain exposure to high quality performance in the spotlight is absolutely critical. MFE creates wonderful opportunities for so many people around the world and I’m extremely looking forward to being a part of that process. Can’t wait to jump right into this year!

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa An and I’m a 17 year old violinist from Seattle, Washington. I am currently a senior at Issaquah High School and a Dual-Enrollment student at Bellevue College:) The things that have brought me the most joy in the past couple of months include: volunteering as a dental assistant, teaching local middle schoolers, and serving as the concertmaster of the Evergreen Philharmonic. I’ve also been rereading The Fault in Our Stars by John Green, and at this point, the amount of tears I've shed onto my pillow at night after reading is probably sufficient to fill up a tank. visual representation provided here: *πŸ₯Ήβ€”>😭*

We are beyond excited to finally host our first LIVE concert!! With hopes of bringing the music community together, we are eager to showcase all the varieties of talent from our featured musicians. We are accepting donations to raise money for the Harmony Program, a non-profit organization based in New York City that provides after-school music education to communities with limited access and resources. We are raising funds through a GoFundMe that is linked in our bio! All donations will go toward providing instruments and supplies for students, supporting teachers, and funding daily, free after-school music instruction. Victoria Arsenicos is violinist attending the Aaron Copland School of Music studying under the provision of Daniel Philips. At ASCM, Victoria is a member of the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion program where she brings light to new music and works by upcoming composers. Prior to beginning her collegiate education, Victoria graduated from Mannes Prep in 2020, where she studied with both Dr. Laura Mount and Dr. Ann Setzer. Over previous Summers, Victoria has attended Four-Strings Chamber Music Program (2018), Meadowmount School of Music (2019), Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival (2020) and Vivace! (2021). Being a member of the Back to Bach Program, she is able to share her love of music to students all across Long Island and Queens.

Summer Wojtczack is a violist from Long Island, New York. Currently pursuing her bachelor’s degree in Music Performance at the Aaron Copland School of Music, studying under the provision of Brett Deubner. Participating in the Long Island Youth Orchestra, Summer has served as the Principal and Associate Principal violist (2016-2020). Having the experience and opportunity to participate in the Sphinx Organization in 2019, at the Cleveland Institute of Music, and in 2020 at the Juilliard School. During her time at Sphinx, she closely worked with violists Jennifer Arnold and Dana Kelley. Being an advocate for diversity and equal representation in her field, Summer enjoys performing new music and works by upcoming composers through the Diversity Equity and Inclusion program at ASCM.

Introducing Amelia Krinke, performer for our 12/19 virtual concert! 🎻

Anne-Marie Wnek is a 17-year old college freshman, at the Eastman School of Music, studying with Professor Robin Scott. She began her violin studies with Rebecca Henry at the Peabody Preparatory in Baltimore at the age of three. She has competed in and won first prize in several competitions including the Peabody Youth Orchestra Concerto Competition, the Frederick Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition, the National Philharmonic Bach Competition, the Senior Division of the Brewster Competition for Strings, the Feder Memorial Strings Competition sponsored by the Washington Performing Arts Society (WPAS), and was a finalist in the United States Army Orchestra Competition. Anne-Marie made her debut as a soloist with the Young Artists Orchestra of the Peabody Preparatory, as the winner of the Junior Concerto Competition. She also recently performed with the Landon Symphonette as a finalist in their concerto competition, where she won first prize. She is now looking forward to her solo performance with the Peabody Youth Orchestra next year.
