Help Needed - Saturday AM 12/28

Greetings Brothers!

Our District Deputy has reached out asking for assistance for a Brother from Nebraska to help their wife move on Saturday 12/28 from 10am -12pm. I am unable to attend as I have the kids until 4pm that day. But if any Daylighters are available and willing it would be greatly appreciated. Please contact Doug directly.

Hello Brethren All!

Just dropping a notice that Marshall had to go in for an emergency surgery this morning. He is already out, the surgery went fine from what I know and he may be able to be discharged today but may stay the night. He is currently at the UW Montlake facility on the 7th floor from reports I've received but I do not know the room number.

If you are able, please do go visit him. The hospital knows there will be folks stopping by and can get you the room number at reception.

Thank you and I wish you all safe travels.

Brethren, The Park Needs our Help!

TL:DR

Who: Masons, SCA Members, Other interested parties
What: Saturday Work Party / Groundskeeping / Chicken Feed
Where: Masonic Family Park
When: September 13-15th, 2024
Why: To help the park maintain the grounds and main building
How: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSfvCDiu4KFNEhEH_tvMAra0lHsXdtARVwhgQfOgpnUCSSUqUA/viewform
How much: Free if you volunteer, $15 per person per night for camping, $7.50 day fee per Mason, $10 day fee per non-mason.

My Brothers,

It has come to my attention that the stewards of Masonic Family Park could use some help in maintaining the grounds of the park. The Worshipful Master has given his approval to make the park the benefactor of the Chicken Feed planned for September 14th in the form of a work party for the Park.

Masonic Family Park is a private camp grounds in Granite Falls that is available for use by Masons and accorded bodies. It is the site of both of Daylight's yearly camp outs. The Park has classically struggled with keeping up with overgrowth, path/road maintenance, and keeping the main hall (Big Kitchen) clean and functional. They have authorized free access to the park (for the day or all weekend) if you would like to volunteer your time to help get the park in shape.

In addition, I will be providing a fried chicken dinner for all volunteers on Saturday night! The park has provided us with access to the Big Kitchen, the adjoining camping site (Chuckie, Site 12), and Site 24 for camping. We may have additional sites if we find we need more space.

Please, join us to help maintain this valuable natural resource and recreational camp ground. If physical labor is not for you, please consider donating to the Lodge to support our efforts.

Fraternally,
Kahlil Blocker, PM.
