A massive thank you to the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods for their generous support through the Neighborhood Matching Fund (NMF). This program provides resources and opportunities for community members to build strong communities and improve their quality of life.

HPIC is using this grant (along with generous support from our 2025 Annual Fund Drive donors) to invest in more canopies to beautify our outdoor space and keep our community safe from the elements. Thanks!! 🛠️🙌

A HUGE thank you to all the artists that came out and showcased their work with us last Friday!🤩🙌 You all made our Maker’s May come to life!!

A community is only as vibrant as the individuals who pour their heart into it. We believe that celebrating Highland Park means celebrating the unique talents that live here, and we’re honored to provide a platform for our local makers to shine.☀️✨

Neighbors: When was the last time you grabbed a fresh empanada, sat by a warm fire, and watched a neighbor carve a piece of stone? 😆

Exactly. So, you’ll be happy to hear that that’s the plan for May’s First Friday. 😁🤪

We’re calling it “Makers May”—a celebration of the artisans and makers that make our neighborhood unique.

Come see live stone carving, ceramics, metalwork, watercolor displays, and other forms of art while we kick back to some live music.

🎸 Live Music: BottleRockit
🌮 Food: Empanadas el Pachi
🗞️ Learn: Our neighbors from ACHD will be here to talk about the Delridge Farmers Market move to 9th & Henderson on May 16th!
👶 For the Kids: A dedicated arts and crafts table.
🏠 1116 SW Holden St.
⏰ 5:30–8:30 PM

It’s free, family-friendly, and open to everyone (no membership required).

🗣️ As part of HPIC’s Annual Fund Drive (AFD), we’re taking a moment to look back at everything we accomplished together in 2025.

This was a year of rebuilding momentum - structurally and socially - and your energy made a real difference. 👏 👏

What This Means Going Into 2026:

⭐️We need more First Fridays
⭐️We need more community engagement.
⭐️We need more momentum to unlock the next round of major grants and gifts.

➡️ And that’s exactly what the Annual Fund Drive supports. Every donation fuels the events that fuel the Rebuild.

It’s a straight line: More community energy → more funding → faster construction. 🏠

💪 We’re so grateful for the outpouring of support for the $500,000 grant news! That massive win is proof we can do this together. ❤️

With your support, we’d like to build on the momentum as we head into the new year (new year, what?!!).

This , we’re asking our HPIC community to help ensure our vibrant First Fridays in 2026 shine brighter than ever by giving to our first-ever Annual Fund Drive.

Here’s the Challenge: We want to show funders just how many people are counting on the new building and the incredible connections it makes possible in order to expedite construction.

The Solution: We’d like to raise the bar for First Fridays by hosting more events, featuring more local arts and culture partners, booking amazing talent, boosting attendance, and providing great food, activities, and resources. Your donation helps make these vital community gatherings the best they can be.

Double Your Impact: Funds raised now will not only help support a fantastic series of First Fridays in 2026, it will also show potential funders that HPIC truly is a critical resource, which will accelerate our Rebuild progress. 🤓

Help us build our future, one First Friday at a time!
