🔄 COMMUNITY SWAP
Bring some, take some! We’ll have tables for neighbors to share extra garden produce, books, puzzles, games, tools, school supplies + other useful things.

🍪 COOKIE EXCHANGE
Bring your favorite cookies to share and swap with your neighbors! Enjoy free cookies!

🎶 TWO LIVE BANDS
Jed Zeppelin kicks things off with Led Zeppelin classics reimagined with bluegrass instrumentation, followed by Disco Cowboys, putting a country spin on disco + funk.

🍗 FOOD
Chick’n Fix will be serving up Filipino-American favorites all evening.

Come eat, swap, dance, meet some neighbors, and help us send off the 2026 First Friday season together. 💛

🎲✨We had such a fun Game Night at HPIC last Friday, with everyone bringing their favorite games and helping create a welcoming space to connect, laugh, and have a good time. 💛

A huge thank you to all of our amazing volunteers who helped make the evening possible! We’re also so grateful to Birch Pereira for keeping the night lively with their awesome live music 🎶 and to Levantine cuisine for joining us and serving up delicious food! 🍽️

Thank you again to everyone who came out and made it such a memorable night. We can’t wait to see you at the LAST First Friday of the year, next month on September 4th!🎉

HPIC! Let’s help our friends at Highland Park Elementary PTA bring new life to their beloved street mural!

🗓️Saturday, August 15th
⏰9am-12pm
📍Cloverdale St. & 11th Ave SW

Originally designed in 2018 through a collaboration between a local artist, Highland Park Elementary students and families, and the Duwamish Tribe, this mural has been a vibrant symbol of our community for six years. Now it’s time to give it a fresh coat of paint— and maybe even add some jumping salmon! 🐟

In addition to painting, volunteers will help with site prep and cleanup before and after the mural is refreshed. There will be music, drinks, and plenty of opportunities to connect with neighbors while making a lasting impact on our community.

Note: The street will remain closed until the paint is dry (around 2-3pm)

🎲 Game Night is coming to First Friday!

Summer is the perfect time to get outside, connect with your neighbors, and just play. Remember play? (Sigh) 🤣

Bring your favorite quick-to-learn card, tabletop, or yard game and share it with someone new. Challenge a friend to co****le or Tetris XL, dance to the swing sounds of Birch Pereira & the Gin Joints, grab dinner from Levantine Cuisine, and cool off with a sweet treat.🍦

☀️Looking for something fun to do with the kids this summer?

Join us at the Summer Food Celebration & Resource Fair at Highland Park Playground on July 17! In addition to celebrating the Free Summer Meals program, the event will feature community organizations, family-friendly activities, and resources that support local families throughout the year.

HPIC will be there too! Stop by our table to say hello, learn about upcoming events, and connect with neighbors.
