For too long, classical music has been confined by rigid rules and structures. NOCCO removes those barriers, connecting musicians and audiences through unconducted performances in intimate settings. We put collaboration at the heart of our music-making, resulting in vibrant, high energy performances that are bursting with enthusiasm. Through fun and casual venues, diverse programming, and accommodating ticket pricing, NOCCO seeks to build a concert-going community that includes those new to, or even historically alienated from, orchestral music.

🎶 We’re excited to share a special part of our March 7 & 8 concerts.
NOCCO is participating in the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation Orchestral Commissions Program, an initiative of the League of American Orchestras and the American Composers Orchestra, which supports repeat performances of major works by women and nonbinary composers across the country.
As part of this national initiative, we’ll perform Cindy Cox’s Dreaming a world’s edge — and we’re thrilled that Cindy Cox will join us in person for both concerts, including post-concert talks.
Cox’s music is known for its vivid colors, rich textures, and inspiration from the natural world. Her work has been performed at Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and by ensembles such as the Kronos Quartet and The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
Join us to experience this powerful work — and meet the composer herself.
