Magnolia United Church of Christ Magnolia United Church of Christ is a vibrant progressive community of faith in Seattle. Radical welcome and inclusion matters deeply to us.

We're a progressive and radically welcoming community of faith in Seattle where questions and doubt are embraced, where we're all loved for our messy selves and where we try to emulate the way Jesus cared for the least more than any ‘right’ belief. At Magnolia United Church of Christ (MUCC) you are welcome no matter who you are or where you are on life’s journey. We are a Church where God’s love enlivens us to rise up to be a Christ-inspired joyous community of faith where spirit and compassion meet. We make sure all people feel at ease here and are seen for their authentic selves, meaning that we work to create safe spaces regardless of sexual and gender orientation, race, class, or religions understandings. Being welcoming means working hard for inclusion and creating a community that honors every part of who we are, who we have been and who we hope to be. So please – join us, either for a Sunday worship in-person, online via live stream, follow us here on Facebook or attend one of our many smaller group community gatherings and retreats. Bring your whole self, your curiosity, and your heart. You are welcome here! Find out more about us on our website at https://magnoliaucc.org/

On Sunday we celebrated Creation Sunday as we honored our sacred Earth through prayer, story and word. We had readings from the Indigenous creation story of Turtle Island and Genesis 1:1-8. Pastor Marci preached and presided. 🌎

This post reflects an excerpt of Pastor Marci's sermon. The sermon video in its entirety may be found on our website: https://magnoliaucc.org/sermons

On Sunday we will celebrate Creation Sunday as we honor our sacred Earth through prayer, story and word. We'll have readings from the Indigenous creation story of Turtle Island and Genesis 1:1-8. Pastor Marci will be preaching and presiding.

Additionally, we will celebrate Communion, so for those of you joining us online please have a bit of something to eat and drink that we will bless during the service. For those of you in the Sanctuary we will be serving Communion with bread and juice received by coming forward or in the pews if preferred. We will also be offering Anointing for anyone who would like an additional blessing.

Check back on Sunday AM for links to bulletin and hymns.
