Tonight is the opening night of Music in the Park 2026! 🎶🙌

Come see Blue Velvet Groove from 6:30-8pm at Madison Park for an unforgettable night of funk, disco, and 80s grooves! With a lineup that boasts multiple vocalists, captivating choreography, and a powerful horn section, they bring a high-energy, danceable vibe to every performance.

Get ready to groove to iconic hits from legends like Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Earth, Wind & Fire, as well as funk and disco favorites from artists such as Chic, KC and the Sunshine Band, Bruno Mars, and Donna Summer.

The Madison Park Emergency Hub will have it's annual preparedness drill Saturday, August 8th, 11am-1pm at the Madison Park (outside the tennis courts). All neighbors are welcome to come see the drill!

At this drill, Hub volunteers will practice setting up and taking down hub equipment (canopies, tables, and more) and they’ll discuss and review processes for helping Madison Park share help and resources during an emergency.

The Madison Park Neighborhood Yard Sale is coming up soon and there's still time to register as a seller!

Spend the day searching for treasures in Madison Park neighborhood or register to participate as a seller. Sale location map will be available on Saturday August 8th (the day before the sale). Visit our website that day for map link or pick up a printed map the morning of the event at the Friends of Madison Park booth on 41st & E. Madison.

Live in an apartment or condo? Bring your items to McGilvra Elementary School grounds, first come/first serve space at Bank of America parking lot and E McGilvra between 41st E and 42nd E.

Music in the Park kicks off next week with Blue Velvet Groove on Thursday, Aug. 6 at Madison Park!

Blue Velvet Groove will be offering an unforgettable night of funk, disco and 80s grooves!

Bring your picnic blanket, your family and friends, and your dancing shoes for a month of musical sensations! Pick up beverages and other goodies at any of Madison Park’s selection of great restaurants and settle in beginning at 6:30pm for a variety of family-friendly musical styles under the summer skies at the park.

We hope to see you there!

Neighborhood happening: Visit domicile art gallery this weekend for the third annual Bastille party and pop-up featuring small French-inspired artistic works by a variety of artists.

Looking for a way to give back to the community and enjoy some fresh air? Join our work party this Saturday to help keep the Prospect Preserve street end park looking beautiful!

🗓️ When: Saturday, July 18th | 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM
📍 Where: 41st Ave E and E Prospect St (right behind the Seattle Tennis Club)

This space has been transformed from an overgrown blackberry bramble into a beautiful, thriving park with public access to the lake. Let’s keep it growing, blooming, and welcoming for everyone!
