The Rainbow City Concert Band and Orchestra present Voices of Change—the final concert of our Somewhere Beyond Season—Saturday, June 14, at 3:00 PM at Benaroya Hall.

This is a program about courage. About the composers who changed history and the living voices shaping music's future. From the raw force of Stravinsky to a brand-new world premiere, from Amy Beach's soaring drama to the bold, luminous writing of Katahj Copley.

Works by: Igor Stravinsky, Amy Beach, Hector Berlioz, Azafi Aman (World Premiere ✨), and Ralph Vaughan Williams

🌟 Featuring soprano Clarice Alfonso, praised for her musical elegance and dynamic expression, with recent engagements at Seattle Opera and Carnegie Hall.

🎤 In collaboration with STANCE (Seattle Trans and Nonbinary Choral Ensemble) and Puget Sound Works.

With nearly 200 community musicians on one stage, this is something you won't want to miss.

What a weekend in Philadelphia!

The Rainbow City Performing Arts contingent had an incredible time at the 2026 Annual Conference, Band Things Happen in Philadelphia, hosted by the , filled with amazing performances, cheesesteaks, laughter, and so many new friendships!

We were proud to have RCPA members represented across the Jazz Band, Pep Band, Flute Choir, Clarinet Choir, and both Concert Bands throughout the weekend. Seeing performers from across the community come together through music and pride was truly something special.

A huge thank you to the Philadelphia host team for creating such a welcoming and memorable conference experience. Your hard work, hospitality, and heart made this event unforgettable.

And now… we can’t wait to welcome everyone to Seattle in 2027 for There Is No Place Like Home: A Sapphire Celebration of PBA’s 45th Anniversary!

There’s No Place Like Home

Join us in Seattle for the 2027 Pride Bands Alliance Annual Conference as we celebrate 45 years of music, community, and pride with There Is No Place Like Home: A Sapphire Celebration of PBA’s 45th Anniversary.

Hosted by Rainbow City Performing Arts, this unforgettable week will bring together performers from across North America and beyond for days filled with rehearsals, performances, connection, and celebration in the heart of the Pacific Northwest.

From concert bands, an orchestra, a jazz band, a color guard, a marching/pep band, and a percussion ensemble, this conference is about creating new memories together. Whether you’re returning to PBA or joining for the first time, we can’t wait to welcome you to the Emerald City! 💚

The Rainbow City Jazz Band is bringing a free night of live jazz to Third Place Commons this Friday, and there's no better way to spend your evening.

This is one of our favorite performances of the year, and it's easy to see why. Third Place Commons is pure community magic: neighbors, families, and friends gathering in one of Seattle's most beloved shared spaces, with plenty of room to groove, sway, or just soak it all in.
