Help us raise funds for The Sunflower Project's humanitarian demining accreditation. The Sunflower Project's volunteers have been on the ground in Ukraine since the beginning of the full- scale invasion in 2022. In the course of our humanitarian relief work, we found ourselves and our Ukrainian communities surrounded by landmines and other explosive remnants of war. Since 2023, we have been working to help mitigate this threat through education and aerial drone surveys of potentially hazardous areas. We are now taking the next step to secure our national demining accreditation; this will allow us to officially participate in the land clearance and release process. Today is the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action. We began our work in mine action in the aftermath of the Russian occupation of Mykolaiv and Kherson. A young man from a liberated village, who had been our guide, ran over a mine while driving his tractor. Fortunately he survived, but will carry the scars for the rest if his life. His tragedy inspired us to begin our demining program. Three years on, and the liberated territories are still littered with the explosive remnants of war, despite the hard work of so many good people. Today we reaffirm our dedication to the task of making Ukraine free of mines and explosive hazards. Слава Україні!

Thanks to the folks at for including us in their VR-based EORE (Explosive Ordnance Risk Education) training. VR is the perfect environment for teaching ordinary citizens how to identify and react safely to explosive hazards. We are looking forward to exploring the possibilities.
