Our next workshop is scheduled for Saturday August 15, 2026, from 10:30am to 2:00pm, at Green Acres Park, 23825 15th Ave. SE, Bothell. Take the second entrance in the park, go straight, see the office sign. Parking is available by the trees and in the lot.

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU to everyone who pitched in to label blankets at the last workshop. We worked on these the entire time, and didn't even plug in the irons! Your efforts are so very much appreciated.

In September, we will have a Binding How To workshop. Also, the AccuQuilt will be available for you to use, and the 2.5" strip cutting die.

The upcoming workshop dates are listed below. We have reserved the room for 2026, third Saturday of the month except December (no workshop). Looking forward to seeing you Saturday.

Hello Blanketeers,

Our next workshop is scheduled for Saturday July 18, 2026, from 10:30am to 2:00pm, at Green Acres Park, 23825 15th Ave. SE, Bothell. Take the second entrance in the park, go straight, see the office sign. Parking is available by the trees and in the lot.

We have been blessed with an abundance of wonderful fabric and will have as much of it at the workshop as we possibly can for you to shop through. Also, we have a ton of blankets (mostly tied fleece) that need labels. If you have a few minutes to label a couple of blankets, it would be so appreciative!

A word about batting..... We are changing how the batting will be distributed at the workshop. The batting will not be available for distribution until later in the day to allow for more people to have access to the limited amounts on hand. Also, please keep in mind, batting is not free and it seems to be getting more expensive all the time. We have limited funds and storage, but will try our best to ensure that we have batting available at each workshop.

In September, we will have a Binding How To workshop. We will have lots of strips available for you to use for binding if you like. The AccuQuilt will be available for you to use, and the 2.5" strip cutting die.

The upcoming workshop dates are listed below. We have reserved the room for 2026, third Saturday of the month except June and December (no workshop those months).

Looking forward to seeing you SaturdayI

With the closure of so many fabric stores, we have all been struggling with where to buy the supplies we need. The National Office has shared the following list of websites. Some even offer a discount for Project Linus! This list is NOT our endorsement of any of the sites, we are just passing along information.

Wondering about what types and sizes of blankets are preferable for Project Linus? Here are some tips!

Type of Blankets: Project Linus accepts all styles of blankets. You don’t have to be an expert! Blankets may be quilted, tied, knit, crochet, fleece, etc. Elaborate or simple, they are all beautiful to a child, the brighter the color the better.

Fabrics & Fabrics Scraps: All quilts must be made with new fabrics and batting. Fabrics must be 100 percent machine washable and dryable. Cotton, flannel and fleece are the preferred fabrics. Yes, quilts can be made from scraps of fabrics. No polyester or blends. Please, NO wool or decorator fabrics.

Most requested sizes (In Inches)
Toddler to Teen - 40x60 or 50x60
Camp Size - 50x80
Fleece - 45x60 or 45x90

Quilt Batting or Filling: A layer of new batting or a single layer of new flannel (the thicker kind) between the quilt top and back work perfectly. If you use fleece as backing, do not use batting, as it makes the blankets too bulky.

Binding: You may like to bind your blanket, but it is not required. If no binding is used, and after you have turned your quilt right side out, please top stitch ¼ to ½ inch from the edge to give the blanket a finished, secure look.

Machine Quilted or Tied: Please make quilting or ties approximately 6 to 9 inches apart so it will hold up through many years of washing. If tied, please be sure it is double knotted so it won’t pull out. Suggestion–stitch down to the back, back up to the front, again down to back over first stitch, back up to front, then use a square knot to tie. Be sure not to make ties so wide as to get little finger caught. Trim the ties to be no longer than one inch.

NO PINS – BOWS – LACE OR BUTTONS: PLEASE carefully check and remove any pins inside and out. NO bows or buttons. Fringe should not be longer than two inches.

Afghans: May be knitted or crocheted. They must have tight enough stitches so fingers or medical equipment won’t get caught in them. Make from 100 percent acrylic yarn. NO wool or wool blends.
