We’re proud to celebrate Avery Brown & Michiko Yee, Teachers and Flag Football Coaches at Rainier Beach High School, as our 2026 Women of Inspiration Award Winners!

Their mission is to help girls learn flag football together and form healthy, empowering relationships with teammates and their bodies. They mentor young women to be approachable leaders on and off the field and to foster a lifelong love of movement, team sports, and advocacy for justice.

✨ Special thanks to the and the Women in Leadership Breakfast for helping us honor and celebrate women who inspire change in our community.

A little rooftop yoga, a little community, and a lot to celebrate. 🧘‍♀️🌇

Members of the 2026 WISE Within Mentorship Cohort recently came together at Element Seattle Downtown Seattle for a rooftop yoga session led by WISE Mentor and Committee Member Alison Scott.

A big thank you to May for hosting us at Element and helping create such a great setting for the evening.

We also had the chance to celebrate WISE Member Saran Plork, Founder & CEO of Seattle Coffee Catering, as she celebrated Social Beans Co.’s one-year anniversary.

Connection, movement and supporting fellow WISE members, now that’s what we call NamastYAY!

Two weeks ago, WISE Seattle brought together a wonderful group for an incredibly fun, insightful discussion on how real sports industry professionals are turning ideas into reality in branding and theme! From rivalry games and fan feedback to creating quality items and Seattle’s favorite raccoon (hey Jimothy 👋) — our panelists provided not only amazing advice but also encouragement for understanding your audience and creating meaningful moments for them.

Thank you to Liz McCloskey (Seattle Mariners), Madi McNamara (Seattle Torrent), Steve Avanessian (BDA Sports), and Allison Hoover (Seattle Seahawks) for volunteering your time and experience to our WISE Seattle community! We greatly appreciate it and are thankful that you all represent the greatest sports city around!

Additionally, shoutout to Danielle Marie for moderating the panel, the Washington Athletic Club for opening up your space for us, by aileen for capturing the evening, and our WISE Seattle Board & Committee members who helped bring the night to life.

📝 Reminder that we do have a waitlist for our October Coffee Connect — we’ll give you a heads-up if a spot opens! There is no formal event for October, but keep your eyes peeled for our November chapter event that will be announced soon! 👀
