It’s Why WISE Wednesday!

Last week, the WISE Seattle community came together at Stone Way Auto for an evening of CPR Training and AED Awareness led by our 2025 Women of Inspiration honoree, Nick of Time Foundation.

It was emotional, empowering, and inspiring.

We learned the fundamentals of CPR, how to properly use an AED and what to do in the event of a cardiac emergency, gaining the confidence to step forward when every second counts.

But the biggest takeaway wasn’t just about lifesaving skills.

It was a reminder that taking care of ourselves helps us show up for others when they need us most.

A heartfelt thank you to the incredible team at Nick of Time Foundation for sharing this vital education and to Stone Way Auto for graciously opening your beautiful event space to our community.

As a bonus reminder, nominations are now open for our 2026 Women of Inspiration awards.

Think about the women who are making a difference around you in the space of sports and events. Recognize them. Celebrate them. Nominate them. Their impact deserves to be seen.

πŸ“° EVENT RECAP - May WISE Event
*Read the full recap at the link in our bio!

On May 12, WISE Seattle gathered for an intimate and honest evening of conversation at Armoire HQ for Unmuted: An Overdue Conversation on Menopause & Women’s Health in the Workplace.

Guests enjoyed bites from Amores y Sabores Catering while networking before transitioning into a panel discussion and audience Q&A with our incredible lineup of speakers: Ambika Singh, Mary Lasky, Malia R., and Dr. Natalia Dvorak, MD, MSCP.

Together, the speakers explored how menopause and broader women’s health experiences intersect with confidence, leadership, identity, performance, and workplace culture. This evening reminded us that the only way we create greater understanding is by continuing to talk openly, honestly, and collectively about experiences that have too often remained unspoken!

Thank you again to our wonderful panel of speakers, Armoire HQ for opening up your space for us, Amores y Sabores for the catering, and for capturing the evening!

About Nick of Time Foundation
The heart behind this event is deeply personal. At just 16 years old, Nick Varrenti collapsed from sudden cardiac arrest during a high school football game due to an undiagnosed heart condition. In his memory, the Nick of Time Foundation was created to raise awareness around youth heart health, expand access to CPR and AED education, and help prevent other families from experiencing a similar loss.
