⭐️ NAFCON Volunteer Highlight: Gissel has delivered food to the same elders in our community nearly 20 times in the past four months! Why does she continue to volunteer? “As a Filipino, respect and love for my elders is a value that's important to me. In their younger years, our elders have done things for us and so in this trying time, delivering food or groceries to them is the least I can do to give back to them."

⭐️ NAFCON Volunteer Highlight: Ceci has been delivering food to elders in our Filipino community since the very beginning (4/17)! When asked why she volunteers to deliver food to elders in the community, her response: “I love delivering groceries every week and seeing the gratitude that these wonderful people have for IDIC. I am not a part of the Filipino community but I also recognize that these are our neighbors and they make our city rich in so many ways. In tough times like these, we should be doing what we can to support, uplift and show respect to our more vulnerable communities, regardless of where they come from.”

⭐️ NAFCON Volunteer Highlight: Heather has been delivering groceries and meals to elders in our Filipino community every week (even TWICE per week) for over two months!

When asked why she volunteers, she says: “This has been a way for me to take action that directly nourishes people in the most fundamental ways—with food and social connection. To nourish elders in the community feels more critical than ever right now, and I’m humbled to be a part of this essential work.”

⭐️ NAFCON Volunteer Highlight: Kisa + Benny have been delivering groceries and meals to elders in our Filipino community for 8 weeks! Thank you for your support and dedication to our community.

In collaboration with IDIC Filipino Senior & Family Services, we are delivering groceries and hot meals every Thursday and Friday to 150 elders each day. Pick-up location is at IDIC (7301 Beacon Ave S) and can be any time between 12:45-2pm on Thursdays and 12:30-2:30pm on Fridays.

We need volunteers to deliver groceries and ulam (main dish) to our Lolas and Lolos this Thursday 7/30 and Friday 7/31!

Since April 17, NAFCON volunteers in collaboration with IDIC Filipino Senior & Family Services have delivered 4200 meals and 2400 grocery bags (17,500 pounds of food) to elders in our community! 🍎🥬🥕🍗🍚
