Run of Hope Seattle Join us on Sunday, September 20, 2026 for the 18th annual Run of Hope benefiting Seattle Children’s.

Please join us in 2017 for the 9th annual Run of Hope Seattle, a collaborative volunteer effort between the employees of Four Seasons Hotel Seattle and members of the Pediatric Brain Tumor Research Guild. It is a special day of events that brings together families and community to raise funds and awareness in support of pediatric brain tumor research at Seattle Children's Hospital. In seven years, the Run of Hope Seattle has raised over 2.9 million dollars for pediatric brain tumor research at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Join the incredible Dr. Kristine Karvonen at this year’s Run of Hope! 🏃‍♀️✨ Dr. Karvonen is a pediatric hematologist/oncologist at Seattle Children's Hospital and a researcher at Fred Hutch Cancer Center.

Her vital work focuses on social determinants of health and how they impact young patients fighting cancer. Thanks to funding from the Run of Hope, her team was able to open a randomized control trial for RISE—a cash transfer intervention supporting patients newly diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma. Because pediatric cancer is rare, multi-center collaboration is key to improving outcomes for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Lace up your running shoes alongside Dr. Monica Pomaville at this year's Run of Hope! 👟💛 Dr. Pomaville is a pediatric neuro-oncology fellow at Seattle Children’s Hospital, training to become a pediatric neuro-oncologist.

In the lab, she works to discover what drives tumor cells to grow so researchers can develop targeted treatment options to treat and cure pediatric brain tumors. Dr. Pomaville loves the Run of Hope because it unites our entire community to celebrate groundbreaking research and push the pediatric cancer movement forward together.
