What Went Wrong With Capitalism, is beguilingly simple: easy money. In the US, low interest rates made money cheap, and from this followed all the ills of capitalism. Low interest rates became the solution to every problem. Governments found it cheap to borrow. Except for a brief period under Bill Clinton, no government retrenched spending. So debt became a problem. The political choices in the US are tax cut and increased spending (Republicans) or tax and increased spending (Democrats). The Keynesian intuition that government spending should be counter-cyclical was replaced by a philosophy of a ‘permanent stimulus’.

Capital became ill-disciplined and grossly misallocated. The price of keeping zombie firms alive dropped. Reality-distorting valuations of unicorns became the norm. Cheap money created asset bubbles which fuelled deep inequality and capital concentration.

I just refuse to celebrate any such day.We really like to have the British return to the union of India.Anyone who left India for the West should clearly think that he/ she would rather be administered by Europeans or the Arabs. That is why Indians living in the US/UK/Australia/UAE etc who celebrate Indian independence day are the most braindead people on the planet. For them it is just another excuse to eat sweets and do nach gana!!

India grew during the Mughal and British rule. Under the British, India grew slower than the rest of the world because, given our magical thinking, we lacked an aptitude for industrialization. Post-independence as well, we lagged, proving the hypothesis.

Just a reminder that today isn't the Independence Day of India. It is the day when British rule was replaced by the rule of power-hungry, brain-dead, sadistic, venal junkies. With average IQ below 70 the Unionof India has no hope.

Indians have created a whole bunch of rationalizations why it became a nobody, loser nation and why it continues to be after 76 years of so-called independence. At the root is the loser, victim mentality of irrational, amoral people.

Trump assassination bid: rising US polarization, easy gun & violent culture:

Attempt on Trump was one thing but the way the so called American liberal media reacted to the incident was infuriating.
Some of the headlines which were published by the "independent media" which just can't stop preaching to the world about the media standards were just baffling to say the least.
