ALSC is a not for profit organization made up of residents who live on or near the shores of Angle Lake, in SeaTac, Washington. The club is managed by a board of elected volunteer members. Serving the community since 1934. The Shore Club was formed in the 1930s and continues to prosper under the leadership of the elected Shore Club Board Members.

Not a convenient time for working folks... but if you're able to go, would be a great opportunity to convey your comments directly to the Chief City Administrator (i.e. Canada Goose overpopulation; invasive, nuisance plants in the lake; America 250 Celebration ideas and/or concerns, etc.)

Who's up for a community art project? See this picture? SeaTac is an airport city so I'm facilitating a joint painting project so many of us can put together a piece that will hang in a SeaTac city building. It's a lot of planes. The template is cut into 63 pieces so I'm looking for 63 people to each paint a 6 inch square section and when we gather them all together I'll assemble and frame them into an offbeat piece of art. You'll get a 6" canvas to paint and a 1.5" chunk of the picture as your guide. City staff will find a place to hang the piece so all our artists can come to see the art. The finished size will be 42X66 inches.
Want to be involved? PM me and I'll deliver your 6" square to paint. You can use oil or acrylic or colored pencils or watercolor or whatever you like to complete your piece, you can be a good artist or a rookie, just have fun with it and we'll end up with a unique piece we can admire! all the lines, all the colors will not necessarily match up but that's half the fun. Again, PM me and we'll talk and I'll get you a 6" square canvas to paint. I hope to have the project finished by April so let's get creative together! Any questions? Just ask!

SeaTac PD is investigating multiple burglaries near Angle Lake and needs your help. For residents along the East Side of the lake, especially along Military and side streets off 46th Ave S, we are asking that you check your cameras for anyone / thing suspicious on Wednesday January 28th between 5pm and 9pm. Do you know that there are 20 restaurants in the city of SeaTac? I didn’t. The economic development department is planning to highlight the many cuisines in town with a program called World Table District. They also want to create 3 “Gathering Spots” in town to bring vibrancy to the city. The spots will be:

The airport Light Rail drop off at 176th and IB which will feature an assortment of food trucks.

The bank building at 186th and IB which will feature a brewery tap room.

The Bullpen property at 200th and IB which will feature a different brewery tap room.

The plan is to have all 3 up and running by summer and then see how they are accepted by the community. Could be very exciting.

If you want to find out more come to the next City Council meeting January 13th at 6PM where you can comment on the project!!
