⚠️ Apple Health changes may affect some refugees, asylees and other immigrants in Washington State.

Beginning October 1, 2026, changes to Apple Health may affect your coverage. If you received a notice that your Apple Health is ending, don’t ignore it.

You may still qualify for other health coverage or assistance programs — but losing Apple Health does not automatically mean you qualify for another free health insurance program. Every person’s situation is different.

New Apple Health (Medicaid) rules have arrived in Washington state. We want to help our clients be as prepared as possible.
These groups of adult noncitizens will no longer qualify for Apple Health coverage:
• Refugees and asylum seekers
• Victims of domestic violence or human trafficking

We recently welcomed local families to our SeaTac Back-to-School Resource Fair, where more than 1,250 backpacks filled with school supplies were distributed to students! Families also connected with 38 community providers, enjoyed food from the Rotary Club of SeaTac-Tukwila —including halal options—and received support from caring LCSNW staff and volunteers across our organization.

A special thank-you to Molina Healthcare for their generous sponsorship and to all of our partners including City of SeaTac - Government and Highline Public Schools, along with providers, staff, and volunteers who helped make the event welcoming and supportive for our community. 💙
