The Seaside Chamber of Commerce is proud to celebrate the completion of the second and final phase of the TRAC (Trash Receptacle Art Campaign) Project! With this final installation, a total of 115 trash receptacles throughout Seaside have been transformed into vibrant works of art with one additional receptacle reserved for a special project.
This community-wide effort has turned everyday public spaces into something truly special; bringing color, creativity, and local character to streets, parks, and gathering areas across the city. Each piece reflects the spirit of Seaside and the talented individuals who contributed to the project.
TRAC has been more than just a beautification initiative, it’s been a celebration of community pride, collaboration, and creativity. We’re grateful to everyone who helped bring this vision to life and invite residents and visitors alike to explore the city and enjoy these unique works of art.
A special thank you goes out to Robin Montero, who generously gave countless volunteer hours to help bring this vision to life. She quite literally laid the groundwork for the entire project. She personally counted and documented every trash receptacle across Seaside, built and continually updated an interactive digital map, coordinated with all selected artists, and organized the logistics of each installation. Her attention to detail, organization, and commitment kept the project moving from start to finish. Thank you, Robin!
