Saturday’s Clean up and Birding event at Upper Carr Lake was a success!🐦‍⬛🗑️

We spotted 53 different bird species at/around Upper Carr Lake! Including baby ducklings/goslings!🦆

Volunteers cleaned up 347 pounds of trash—well done! That’s 347 pounds of trash that will end up at the landfill instead of in our (and the birds’) waterways!👏💧

Thank you to everybody who came out. This was HSP’s last public clean up event of the school year—We will see you in the Fall!👋☀️

Join us on Saturday, May 2nd from 10 am-1 pm at Upper Carr Lake Retention Basin in Salinas for a clean up and birding event!🗑️🪶

We will be cleaning up the park and learning about the local birds and migratory birds that rely on Upper Carr lake as a habitat and resting place!🦆🌿
