At the end of the school year we ask our Garden Club students what their favorite garden activity was. It's amazing how many say "working in the garden!" In addition to learning what it takes to maintain a productive garden, these chores provide opportunities for students to practice cooperative work skills, staying on task in an "unstructured" environment, and show off their muscles!
