Resource Conservation District of Monterey County is a vital partner of Friends of Seaside Parks (FOSPA), working side by side with park stewards and volunteers to create healthy habitats for pollinators, increase climate resiliency, and revitalize our Seaside neighbor parks for people and wildlife.

Friends of Seaside Parks (FOSPA) will be at Durant Park on Saturday, October 17, 10:00 to 12:00. Volunteers are invited to join them to help prepare the pollinator garden habitat for the winter rains.

Once each year, Surfrider Surfrider Foundation Monterey Bay treks inland for a watershed cleanup. Join them at Laguna Grande Park (across from Seaside City Hall) for their monthly cleanup.

Thanks to the eight candidates (two mayoral and six council) who participated in the Seaside Candidate Forum September 29th. And thank you to the more than 120 voters who attended to hear their positions on various issues of importance to Seaside residents.

Also, thank you to the League of Women Voters of Monterey County and the team of League volunteers who moderated and conducted the forum.

We're grateful to the City of Seaside for the use of Oldemeyer Center and for the services of the Recreation Services Department.
