Pollinator Habitat workday at Havana Soliz Park, Saturday, May 30, 10 am to noon. Volunteers are invited to help with w**ding, hauling and laying wood chips, and tending the food garden. Stay for the Pot Luck Picnic at 12 pm.

Please BYO work gloves, snacks and/or a dish to share at the picnic.
And, if you can, bring flattened cardboard for sheet-mulching!

Starting Monday, May 4, there will be traffic impacts at Gen Jim Moore Blvd & Lightfighter Dr:
🔹 Southbound turn lane from CSUMB will be closed
🔹 Median traffic signal will be temporarily removed
Expect delays and changes to your usual route—especially during peak hours. Give yourself a little extra time and move with intention.
We’re making improvements to keep Seaside moving forward—and we appreciate your patience while we get there. 💙

UC Master Gardeners of Monterey & Santa Cruz Counties invite our local community to learn regenerative soil techniques that you can add to your gardening bag of tricks. Growing healthy soil helps the home gardener grow vibrant veggies and herbs, bountiful fruit trees, and gorgeous flowers. We will summarize what makes a soil regenerative, and demonstrate proven techniques such as cover cropping, vermi-compost, lasagna beds, and straw bale gardening.
