Dead or alive??
Mauve stinger jellyfish are typically 1 to 5 inches in diameter and are colored pink, mauve, or light brown with a phosphorescent bell. The nematocysts (the stinging cells of a jellyfish) are on the tentacles, the oral arms, and, what is somewhat unusual for a jellyfish, on the surface of the bell. Envenomation can occur from contact with either alive or dead mauve stinger jellyfish.

Delivery day! This past Saturday our new 100ft single axel E-One ladder truck was delivered. On behalf of Chief Vincent, the officers and all members of Station 45 we would like to thank Mayor Peterson, Jerry Rotonda and all the council members for making this happen. We will be working hard over the next weeks getting the truck lettered, getting tools mounted and conducting training. Absolute Fire Protection Co. Inc.
