Home to the largest veteran population in New Jersey, offers comprehensive support for veterans, widows, and families through the Ocean County Board of Commissioners and the Ocean County Veterans Service Bureau.

The Veterans Service Bureau, located at the Ocean County Resource Center at 1005 Hooper Avenue, Toms River, provides a wide range of services, including:
• Assistance filing state and federal veterans claims
• Help with death and burial benefits
• Support securing additional entitlements
• Transportation to V.A. medical centers
• Lending wheelchairs and walkers to disabled veterans
• Referrals to mental health, medical, and social service agencies

WILL BE CONDUCTING A “STATE OF NEW JERSEY MEDAL CEREMONY”
IN RECOGNITION OF
“NEW JERSEY WOMEN VETERANS RECOGNITION DAY” on
FRIDAY, JUNE 12, 2026

THIS CEREMONY IS FOR ALL HONORABLY DISCHARGED NEW JERSEY FEMALE VETERANS
IT WILL BE CONDUCTED IN THE WILDWOOD CONVENTION CENTER’S BALLROOM “A”
STARTING TIME: APPROXIMATELY 10:15AM

INVITED GUESTS INCLUDE NJ ADJUTANT GENERAL BRIGADIER GENERAL YVONNE MAYS
AND GOVERNOR MIKIE SHERRILL

To apply for any of the NJ State Medals offered, ceremony participants must complete a State
of New Jersey Medal Application. The link and a “QR Code” for the Medal Application is below.
The absolute “deadline/cut-off date” to be included in this Ceremony is May 29, 2026!

We are thrilled to share that The American Legion Post 351 family has made a generous gift card donation to the Salvation Army Ocean County Citadel! This amazing contribution will help the teenage children receive something for Christmas. This is our 3rd year making a difference in the lives of our community in this way.
