All meetings are open to the public - come help plan events and fun in Searsport! The Searsport Events Committee meets regularly to plan official town events including Memorial Day, July 4th, Fling into Fall, and the Searsport Tree Lighting. All meetings and workshops are open to the public. Check our feed for notification of the next meeting.

Remember these really neat Minion scarecrows that decorated town during last year's Fling into Fall? The year, the Events Committee is asking for your help in our mini-fundraiser Minion Scavenger Hunt! We're looking for families, organizations, and businesses who would want to decorate their own Minion. Congratulations to Searsport Shores Ocean Campground for winning the Searsport's 4th of July Celebration parade competition! They brought a creative, friendly, & enthusiastic float (etc.) to the parade. Also congratulations to the runner-up, Lighthouse Bible Church.

Attention local families: Don't miss Carver Memorial Library's Summer Reading Program Kickoff!

PLEASE NOTE: Our Friday program this week - RAIN OR SHINE! - is our Summer Reading Program Kickoff. We will NOT have our regular Friday Storytime. Please help spread the word.

Our summer reading program begins with our Kickoff on Friday, June 26th from 10:30 to 12:30 pm here at the library. There will be LOTS of fun things to do, no matter the weather!

It is also an opportunity to pick up your Carver Memorial Library Summer Reading Kit and Adventure Log. The further you get on our adventure log, the more prizes you earn!

The theme of our 2026 Summer Reading Program is, "A Summer of Sails and Tales". Every book you read this summer is a treasure chest waiting to be unlocked. Join us to map out your reading goals and discover oceans of fun along the way!
