BSA Scouting - Searsport #215

We were so fortunate to have so many scouts serving and cooking today. Many veterans and others came to be served. We had over 60 guests as well as near 40 scouts and their family members. Included in our volunteers was a pageant queen, National Women of Service Classic, Susan P Boynton and many members of Waldo District Scouting from Searsport, Belfast, Winterport and Unity as well as District Executive Tony Major. We were fortunate to have Reagan Paul also join us. And through the generosity of the attendees, we will be able to donate $250 to No Greater Love Food Pantry.

Thank you to all attending and donating and all members of scouting who volunteered their time today Serving Those who Served.

So we had said the kids did well...we found out they earned 1st place!!!!!!

Ross Cottrell from Maine Maritime Academy came to our meeting this evening to present them their iceberg trophy. Our scouts completed all the stations and earned a total of 196 points by working together.

Searsport 215 participated in the 2025 Klondike Derby at Maine Maritime Academy. They excelled today, but we will not know results until tomorrow. Anyway, we are so excited by their hard work and dedication. We do know we achieved all points available for questions station, and we also were able to get a special military themed duck for such a great job at that station.

To our past, current and future scout leaders...Many of us will spend more than 5 years with the youth that will be the future leaders of tomorrow. I can't wait personally to see where these young people go with their lives.
