On September 1, 2026, Harding ROTC had their first AFT of the term. Gale Long provided breakfast for the 15 new freshmen along with the returning cadets.

Today, September 1, 2026 members of Frederick Van Patten NSDAR Chapter had photos taken with Mayor Faulkner as he read the Proclamation stating the annual date for Constitution Week which is annually September 17 through 23rd each year. President Dwight Eisenhower proposed this and it was determined as law in 1956.

On Tuesday August 11, 2026 Frederick Van Patten NSDAR chapter furnished and served treats to the veterans at the Searcy VA building on South Main Street. Bonnie Sample and Patty Naumann from the chapter served the veterans. Thank you ladies!!!!

Our chapter’s scheduled meeting on August 8, 2026 was attended well. Ivy with her mother presented our Program.
Pat Hannah was installed as a new member. Reports and announcements were made.
Our photo with Searcy’s Mayor will be at 11 a.m. on September 1st to celebrate Constitution Week ,the 17th through the 23rd!

Frederick Van Patten chapter members, Bonnie Sample and Patty Naumann, served veterans on July 28, 2026. NSDAR members of this chapter contribute the items as a treat in honoring their service.

This is Linnie, a very dear friend, who is 100 years old today! At the age of 17 she left her home here in Arkansas to travel to Washington DC to work in an office. Part of her duties was to write letters to the families of soldiers who died in the war. She is still a champion for our veterans! Happy Birthday, Linnie!

With the help of the Friends of Pioneer Village and the White County Historical Society, we had a public reading of the Declaration of Independence.
