Interested in Becoming a White County Master Gardener? 🌿
Good news! Even though White County will not be hosting the Fall Zoom Master Gardener Training this year, you can still become a White County Master Gardener.
There are two training options this fall:
🌱 Option 1 – Fall Zoom Training
Training will be held on October 21, 28 and November 4, 11 & 18. While the educational presentations are delivered by Zoom, participants still meet in person each week with their local county training group.
We sincerely appreciate our neighboring counties for welcoming White County residents into their classes this fall. Cleburne, Independence, Lonoke, and Faulkner Counties have all agreed to allow White County residents to participate in their local training groups. Once training is complete, participants will return to White County to complete their volunteer service and maintain their Master Gardener membership here at home.
🌱 Option 2 – Self-Paced Online Training
If attending weekly sessions isn't possible, the University of Arkansas System Division of Agriculture also offers a fully online, self-paced Master Gardener Training. This course runs October 6 through December 11, allowing you to complete the educational portion on your own schedule.
Whether you choose the weekly Zoom training or the self-paced online course, you'll gain valuable horticulture knowledge, connect with fellow gardening enthusiasts, and make a difference in your community through volunteer service.
