We’re excited to announce Damon Johnson as the City of Searcy’s new Parks & Recreation Director!
Damon joined the City as Director of Softball and Baseball before moving into the role of Assistant Parks & Recreation Director. Since joining the team, he has done an exceptional job growing Searcy’s sports programs, improving our existing facilities and helping lead the day-to-day operations of the Parks & Recreation Department.
Before joining the City, Damon also gained extensive leadership, logistics and operational experience during his military career, where he helped coordinate large-scale operations and teams. That experience, combined with his work in Parks & Recreation, has prepared him well to lead the department during an important period of growth.
Damon has also been closely involved in the City’s new recreation projects from the beginning—helping with planning and developing the staffing and operational models that will be needed as these new facilities open to the community.
As Searcy begins bringing these major community investments to life, Damon brings both the experience and firsthand knowledge of these projects to lead Parks & Recreation into its next chapter.
We’re excited to see him step into this role and continue building on the progress already underway for Searcy.
