Volunteer photo and notes for adoptable Bamm-Bamm! He's a great pup!

"Me and my granddaughter had the recent pleasure of spending time and walking Bamm-Bamm at the Humane Society of Searcy.

Bamm-Bamm is the cutest pup! He is super friendly and social, seems to love interacting with adults as well as children and was just a pleasure to be with. He has a quiet temperament, but very curious and playful. What a wonderful addition he will be to any lucky family who adopts him."

Volunteer photos and notes on sweet adoptable Boone!

"Recently I had the pleasure of spending time with Boone at the Humane Society of Searcy.

He is just the sweetest dog! He is very patient and calm, walks easily on a leash and just likes to be out exploring. He has a slight limp that is healing on its own but it doesn’t seem to stop him from enjoying people and any outside play time. His calm demeanor seems to only add to his ability to blend into any new forever family and home. He will be a loyal companion and buddy! 🥰"

Our goal is to hire an extra person 18+ on top of our normal staff to help lighten the workload during these hot summer months.

Employees spend a large amount of time outside and will need to be comfortable working in high temperatures and high humidity.

The shelter attendant job involves cleaning, feeding, watering, walking dogs, laundry, and maintaining kennels. This can be a very physically, mentally, and emotionally taxing job. Employees have to work in all weather conditions (unless unsafe) and be comfortable and capable of handling both cats and dogs of all sizes.

You must be comfortable being on your feet for the majority of the day and capable of working in a fast paced environment. This is a job where living creatures rely on you to show up and take care of them, so you must be dependable.

The job is to work 36-39 hours per week. The workday is 8 - 5 pm. Must be able to work Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays. Must have dependable transportation. This is an inside and outside job. Experience working with animals, computer skills, and ability to work with the public is a plus.

If you are interested, please come by the shelter Sunday (6-14) or Monday (6-15) from 9 am to 4 pm. If you have additional questions, please call the shelter at 501-268-3535 to speak to the supervisor or trainer. We do not monitor comments.
