Some people don’t just pass through a place while visiting… they become part of its foundation. Brother Leon was that kind of presence at Journey Mission Camp.

His quiet wisdom could steady you, and when his laughter filled the room, it made everything feel lighter. He has a deep rooted love for the gospel and sharing his love with children in Honduras.

Over the years, he and Lela helped shape not just a camp, but a community rooted in faith, love, and genuine care for one another. His fingerprints are on countless lives in ways both big and small.

As we enter this new week, we deeply mourn his earthly departure. And yet, we also hold tightly to the hope he lived by—the promise of eternal life and the joyful reunion made possible through Jesus.

Brother Leon’s story will continue to live on in the lives he touched, the faith he strengthened, and the love he so freely gave. And in that, his legacy continues at Journey Mission Camp. 💙

We’re excited to announce our next mission project: building a safe, secure home for a family in great need. This summer, Journey Mission Camp is heading into action with compassion and purpose.

Two of our amazing team members, Karla and Danna, had the privilege of visiting the family. What they saw confirmed one thing: safety isn’t just important — it’s essential. This project is about building peace of mind, dignity, and a brighter future. To give a glimpse of God and his provision.
