We will be hosting a food security forum in partnership with Arkansas Food Bank and featuring our guest speaker, Mr. Rusty Hart. This will be held at the new library on October 27th from 11am-1pm to discuss and collaborate on how to possibly help this issue in our community. Meet our Board Member, Mr. David Rolland

David is a life long resident of White County and the Pangburn Community. He is a graduate of Pangburn High School and Harding University and has worked with the Pangburn School District since 1998 and is the Pangburn superintendent.

David’s family consists of his wonderful wife, Christi, who has coached and taught at the Pangburn District since 2000. They have two children; Luke, 23, played college baseball for 5 years and was a junior college All American and Cade, 19, who is currently in his second year playing college baseball.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family. His hobbies include collecting sports memorabilia and traveling to historical sites. He is a member of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy.

He has served on the White County Community Foundation Board for 3 years and has enjoyed the experience of hearing about all the wonderful organizations who are giving back to our community.

Meet our board member, Mr. Dan Whittington

I am originally from Ontario, Canada, has lived in Searcy since 2002. I’m a graduate of Harding University and have served as a Financial Advisor for Edward Jones since February 2007 and became a Limited Partner with the Firm in 2015.

My family consists of my sweet wife, Ashley, a Searcy native, who has served our community as a dental hygienist for the past 23 years, and our blended family of six children – Wade (and his wife, Carsyn), Mia, Aidan, Blakely, Hudson, and Lynley.

Outside of the office, I can be found spending quality family time, enjoying the great outdoors, or attending ball games. Within the community, I have enjoyed coaching youth athletics, being active in my church, and supporting various community events.

I have served on the board for the White County Community Foundation for 3 years and have served as a past board member for Searcy Children's Homes, Inc.

We are deeply saddened by the passing of Sam Rhoades, a longtime friend and champion of Arkansas Community Foundation.

In 2002, Sam helped bring the Community Foundation to the Twin Lakes region, working alongside other community leaders to establish what would become the Twin Lakes affiliate. His vision for connecting people’s generosity with the needs of their own communities helped lay the foundation for a lasting culture of philanthropy in the region.

Sam understood that giving could do more than address today’s needs, it could create a legacy that continues for generations. Through his work with clients, his leadership in the community, and his commitment to the Foundation, he helped make that vision a reality.

We are grateful for Sam’s many years of service, friendship and dedication to the Twin Lakes community. His impact will continue through the people and charitable causes he supported and through the philanthropic legacy he helped build.

Our hearts are with his family, friends and all those who had the privilege of knowing him.
