Meet Cassandra Feltrop, chair of our PR/banquet and event committee. Cassandra has worked at Unity Health for nearly 28 years and currently serves as a Community Coordinator in Marketing and Network Development. She also owns Windy Hill Farm - Wedding & Event Farm with her husband, Frankie, and is a Travel Advisor with Peacock Travel Group, where she helps clients plan unforgettable adventures around the world.

Cassandra is deeply involved in the community and has served in a variety of leadership roles throughout White County. She has served on the Board of the White County Community Foundation for multiple terms adding up to her 16th year and continues to support the organization through committee leadership and service. She is the Immediate Past President of the Searcy Kiwanis Club, where she has served two terms as President, and previously served a three-year term as Lieutenant Governor for Kiwanis District 21. Cassandra is also a Life Member of Searcy Junior Auxiliary and has served on the board of the White County Children's Safety Center. Most recently, she led the Searcy Senior Networking group for businesses and organizations serving senior citizens for two years.

Cassandra says one of the things she enjoys most about serving with the White County Community Foundation is seeing the impact made through the annual Giving Tree grant cycle and watching local organizations use those funds to strengthen and better the communities we serve.

Cassandra and Frankie have been married for nearly 32 years and are proud parents of three married daughters — Jordan, Reagan, and Morgan. They also have two grandchildren, with another grandbaby arriving in September. The Feltrops are members of Valley Baptist Church. In her spare time, Cassandra enjoys spending time with her grandchildren and traveling the world, bringing those experiences back to help inspire her travel clients.

Meet our board President, Mr. Philip Hays. He's a Senior Vice President with First Community Bank in Searcy. Philip is very involved in our community serving in such capacities as a current board President of Habitat for Humanity of White County, Past President and current member of Kiwanis Club of Searcy, Chairman of the Parks and Rec Advisory Board for City of Searcy, Past Chairman of Searcy Regional Chamber of Commerce, member of the Searcy Education Foundation, and current board member of Main Street Searcy. He is married to Abby and has three children: Parker, Ethan, and Lynlee. The family are active members of Valley Baptist Church in Searcy.
When says when he first joined the board he did not realize the scope of the Community Foundation. I was part of non-profits who had been benefactors of the foundation, but I quickly realized the organization’s reach was much greater than I knew. Through my term on the board I have been enlightened to the value of early literacy in children and the ongoing struggle of food insecurity in our area and state; two of our organization’s main focuses. It is my hope that the White County Community Foundation can encourage and support the efforts already active in our county that are focused on those two issues, while educating the future generation on the value of philanthropy.
