Hey Austin County, are you ready to Rally at the Rails? 🚂♠️

The Sealy Rally at the Rails Cruise & Poker Run is just a few weeks away, and we’re ready to roll! Join the Rotary Club of Austin County on Saturday, July 18 for a fun day on the road supporting a great cause.

Registration is just $20 per person and includes appetizers at Wolf Pack Woodfired Tavern after the run. All vehicles are welcome — cars, trucks, jeeps, bikes, slingshots, and anything road legal!

Proceeds help raise money for Sealy ISD student scholarships, so grab your friends, hit the road, and help us support local students.

Fulshear is our neighboring community to the south. Always carry a raw chicken breast in your back pocket.

As temperatures rise, alligators become more active, especially around the many lakes and waterways in Fulshear.

Important Reminders:

• Do NOT feed the alligators.
It is illegal in Texas and extremely dangerous. Feeding them causes alligators to lose their natural fear of humans, which can lead to aggressive behavior and serious danger to people and pets.

• Stay alert near the water.
Keep children and pets away from shorelines and avoid walking through tall grass or brush near ponds and lakes.

If you see an aggressive or threatening alligator, contact us immediately,
your Fulshear Police Department is here to help.

🌎💚 Environment Month in Action – Right Here in Sealy! 💚🌎

This April, we’re celebrating Environment Month with Rotary International — and we’re proud to be part of a project that supports both recreation and environmental responsibility.

Many of you know that the disc golf course at Jaqueline A. Cryan Park (built by the Rotary Club of Austin County) is currently closed. While we miss seeing it in use, there’s an important reason behind it!

The City is expanding the park’s retention pond — a project that helps:
💧 Manage stormwater runoff
🌱 Protect our local environment
🌊 Reduce flooding and erosion
🌿 Improve the long-term health of the park

Projects like this are a great reminder that taking care of our environment sometimes happens behind the scenes—but makes a big impact for our community.

We can’t wait to welcome everyone back to the course once it reopens! 🥏
