Last Thursday, the Rotary Clubs of Austin County, Columbus, and Weimar came together for our Tri-Club Meeting with District Governor Camille Hamilton and Assistant District Governor Crystal Barrow — and there is a lot to look forward to in the year ahead! 🌎⚙️

One date Rotary members will definitely want to save: February 13, 2027! Rotary International President Olayinka “Yinka” Hakeem Babalola will be in Houston for the All Club Dinner at Safari Ranch. This is expected to be a SOLD-OUT event, so watch for ticket information and make plans early!

Here at the Rotary Club of Austin County, we’re also looking forward to a year of learning and service. Upcoming programs will introduce our members and community to opportunities such as Disaster Aid, anti-trafficking grants, Rotary Youth Leadership Camp, and much more.

Rotary International’s message this year is Create Lasting Impact — and we’re excited to see what we can accomplish together.

If you’ve ever wondered what Rotary is all about, this is a great year to come see us in action! 💙💛

I thought this was a fun one to share today!

The Rotary wheel has definitely had a few makeovers through the years, but the heart behind it has never changed — Service Above Self.

Different wheel. Same mission. Same purpose. Same commitment to serving our community. 💙💛

Fulshear is our neighboring community to the south. Always carry a raw chicken breast in your back pocket.

As temperatures rise, alligators become more active, especially around the many lakes and waterways in Fulshear.

Important Reminders:

• Do NOT feed the alligators.
It is illegal in Texas and extremely dangerous. Feeding them causes alligators to lose their natural fear of humans, which can lead to aggressive behavior and serious danger to people and pets.

• Stay alert near the water.
Keep children and pets away from shorelines and avoid walking through tall grass or brush near ponds and lakes.

If you see an aggressive or threatening alligator, contact us immediately,
your Fulshear Police Department is here to help.

Let’s stay safe and help protect our community and local wildlife.
