[EMAIL Melissa BY October 3rd 2026 to participate. Posters due by November 15, 2026.]
Dear Parents, Leos and Leo Siblings,
Do you have a young artist in your family who loves to draw, paint, create, or express ideas through art?
Students ages 11–13 can participate in the 2026–2027 Lions International Poster Contest, with this year’s inspiring theme:
“HARMONY IN HUMANITY”
The contest gives young people an opportunity to use their imagination and artistic talent to show what peace, kindness, understanding and living together can look like in our world.
Why Should Your Student Participate?
This is more than an art project. It is an opportunity for students to:
* Win 1st Prize of $5,000 or 23 International Merit Awards of $500
* Express their creativity and develop their artistic skills.
* Share their own ideas about peace, kindness, respect and understanding.
* Be recognized for their talent at the local, district and potentially international levels.
* Compete in an international contest involving young people from around the world.
* Add an impressive accomplishment to their school activities, art portfolio or résumé.
* Have the opportunity to win significant cash prizes at the international level.

Who Can Participate?
Students must be 11, 12 or 13 years old as of November 15, 2026 to be eligible for the international competition.
Important Date!
Friday, October 3rd - Notify me that he/she wants to participate!
November 15, 2026: Official Lions deadline for the club’s winning poster to be submitted to the district.
Because we need time to collect and judge the posters before the Lions deadline, please don’t wait until November 15 to submit the artwork.
Interested-
Simply include:
Student’s Name:
Age:
School/Grade:
Parent’s Name:
Parent’s Phone/Email:
Once I know who is interested, I will provide the official contest information, poster requirements and instructions. This is a wonderful opportunity for our young people to create something meaningful, showcase their artistic talent and possibly have their artwork recognized far beyond our community.
We hope your young artist will join us!
Thank you,
Melissa Gomez - Lead Leo Advisor
