Hey everyone! I know it’s been years since you have seen an update on rusty. We just went on a much needed vacation. The joy and happiness that this dog has is just amazing! His smile instantly brings me joy and happiness. I just wanted to thank everyone who donated to help this guy. We are so lucky that he was given the chance to live a happy life. Who ever thought he would be out hiking the mountains with me.
He is so happy and living his best left everyday. Thank you to UBS as well for allowing me to help him!

Sorry it's been so long since an update! Rusty was out playing all day today and was so tired he fell asleep instantly on the couch!

Update on Rusty. Man o man was he tried from his vet visit. He slept the whole way home. He got his pin removed from his right front limb. The Doctor said his bone is healing very well. We can slowly increase his walking and in a week he can begin water therapy! He has another recheck appointment in four weeks regarding his hind leg. The neurologist thinks there was more damage to his siactic nerve than they had originally thought. As he does not have reflex and has some loss of sensation in his toes. A Dorsi-flex assist brace will be purchased for him in hopes to help him regain strength and support. He has lots of healing left to work on but is coming along very well. He thanks everyone for their support and donations.

Soaking up the rays! Rusty is doing great! Getting around much better. Still reluctant to use his hind leg. His recheck appointment is on tuesday. We will keep our fingers crossed!

Rusty getting used to his non slip boots so he doesn't slip when walking on the hardwood. He said not sure what to think of them :)
