Clear Lake High School rising seniors Marshall, Reed, and Jack (L to R) have been friends since kindergarten and Scouting together since first grade.

All three Scouts' Eagle projects benefitted their chartering organization, St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Nassau Bay and are Scouts in Troop 1966.

Marshall planned, led, and constructed a wood-fired pizza oven in the BBQ area outside the church kitchen, creating a lasting gathering space for parish events and fellowship. The project involved coordinating volunteers, managing construction, and building a functional feature that enhances the church’s outdoor hospitality and community life.

Reed planned, led, and implemented a major landscape and drainage improvement project adjacent to the BBQ area, addressing long-standing usability concerns and enhancing the surrounding space. The project improved both the appearance and function of the area, creating a more welcoming and accessible environment for parish gatherings and events.

Jack relocated and enhanced the church’s livestream ministry space in the Narthex, creating a more functional and welcoming area for the volunteer streaming team. The project included designing and constructing custom furniture, purchasing updated equipment and seating, and integrating the space to better reflect the aesthetic of St. Thomas while improving the quality and accessibility of streamed services

Have you signed your Cub Scout up for 2026 Day Camp?? If not, sign them up today!!

This year’s camp is going to be very fun and will have many of the activities that make Cub Scouts so much fun. Plus, this year our Cub Scout camp will have a Dinosaur theme!

4:30 - 9:00 pm (except Thursday which ends at 8:00 pm)

Get ready to travel back in time for an unforgettable adventure! This year’s Cub Scout day camp is going prehistoric. Day damp is an opportunity for Cub Scouts entering 1st – 5th grade during the next school year to make new friends, earn rank advancements, and enjoy BB guns, archery, sports, skills, and crafts. The camp is a council camp organized by districts and conducted by volunteers from the local area.

Many volunteers are needed to make day camp successful, so please consider volunteering. Adult volunteers can also register non-scouting children ages 3-5 (potty-trained). Scouts in troops, crews, and ships can also volunteer. An adult/guardian must register with a Tiger (going into 1st grade).

This morning, Scouts from Cub Scout Pack 389 Seabrook/El Lago and Scouts BSA Troops 848 & 849 Clear Lake Area participated in the Seabrook Memorial Day Event at the Bay Area Veterans Memorial. The Scouts did the Opening Flag Ceremony and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

May we always remember the men and women of our armed forces who willingly served and gave their lives for our country.
