In 2022, I had a crazy idea to educate the community while raising money for an organization or family in need. I had a desire, a calling, to find members of the community to help us learn more about the pediatric population while lowering the traumatic response these kids would have in emergency situations. I called this “Kids' Day.” I could see how much the community not only loved this but needed it. I decided to make it a little bigger, and tomorrow I’ll be introducing to you……

I can’t wait for everyone to have the opportunity to chat with Ryan Reid NRP. He is currently working full time at Greater Pittston Regional Ambulance (and associated with 10 other local ambulance and fire companies 🚒🚑)

“My favorite part of this job is the education. I’ve been a Pennsylvania Department of Health primary instructor since 2010. Since then I’ve taught EMT classes at Geisinger CMC, Luzerne County Community College, Commonwealth Health EMS, and assisted various other entities in filling in or teaching specific topics. I’m also an American Heart Association instructor for CPR and first aid, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, and pediatric emergency assessment, recognition, and stabilization. I’m also an American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI) instructor for CPR and first aid, advanced cardiac life support, and pediatric advanced life support. In 2015 I also obtained my National Child Passenger Safety Technician certification through the Traffic Injury Prevention Project and Safe Kids Worldwide.”
