On Tuesday, the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in Lackawanna County Sensory Session was all about stone fruits, and, needless to say, it was a sweet success! Participants explored the colors, textures, aromas, and flavors of summer favorites like peaches, cherries, plums, and nectarines.
From tasting fresh fruit to sampling delicious pies, jams, and even crunchy almonds (a stone fruit cousin!), everyone put their senses to work while learning more about these orchard treasures.
Who knew gardening education could be this delicious?
A big thank you to everyone who joined us for an afternoon of learning, sharing, and savoring the tastes of the season!
