Discovery Montessori Discovery Montessori is a non-profit, Montessori school serving children aged 3-9. We provide high quality Montessori programs for children aged 3-9.

Discovery Montessori is Scranton's only Montessori school with full preschool, kindergarten and early elementary programs. Our unique curriculum combines Montessori philosophy and curriculum with specific materials and resources to ensure the social, academic, physical and emotional development of each child in our school. Each classroom provides developmentally appropriate activities for self and

group learning in the areas of numeracy, literacy, sensorial and practical life skills. Led by a PA Certified teacher and a Montessori-certified teacher children are encouraged to practice specific ‘works’ that develop their skills in each of these areas. At Discovery Montessori we believe that every child should be encouraged to discover their world, explore new things, and that learning should be fun as well as challenging. At Discovery Montessori we are committed to ensuring all our children learn, play and grow, knowing that the skills they learn will be the building blocks for future academic and growth.
