Together, we create life changing wishes for Arizona children with critical illnesses. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that was founded in Phoenix in 1980. The Make-A-Wish Foundation® of Arizona is the founding chapter of Make-A-Wish, and has granted more than 6,500 wishes to date.

Angelito’s heartfelt wish to have a charro party represents more than just a birthday celebration – it symbolizes his strength, cultural pride, and the renewed hope that fuels his fight against cancer. 💙

Proudly wearing a traditional charro suit and hat, Angelito was welcomed with live music, cheers from his community – who rallied together to make his wish day possible – and even horses! 🎶🐎

“He felt as if he was untouchable,” shared Angelito’s mom, Mary.

This September, our Medical Outreach team recognized Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and Sickle Cell Awareness Month alongside patients and families at Banner Children’s and Phoenix Children’s. 💙⁠

With Joy Jars and Wish Pinwheel crafts, patients spent time reflecting on the people and things that bring them joy while filling the day with a little extra creativity and hope. ⭐️⁠

We’re grateful to spend these moments with patients, families and the medical professionals who care for them. Every connection helps us share the power of a wish and reach more eligible children across Arizona.⁠

For 75 years, Earnhardt Auto Centers has been part of the Arizona community, and we’re grateful they chose to celebrate this milestone by giving back to Arizona wish kids. 💙

🩺✨ | As a Pediatric Hospitalist and Director of Medical Services for East and West Valley campuses at Phoenix Children's, Dr. Timur Raghib cares for children during some of the most difficult moments of their medical journeys.

While each day can bring new challenges, it also brings moments of hope. That care extends beyond the hospital. As a Chapter Medical Advisor, Dr. Raghib reviews wishes for children with complex medical conditions, working alongside Make-A-Wish Arizona to help ensure each wish is both extraordinary and medically safe. By identifying necessary accommodations, he helps families focus on what matters most: creating memories together. 💙

For his dedication to wish kids and their families, Make-A-Wish Arizona is proud to honor Dr. Raghib with a Pediatric Partner Award and recognize his continued belief in the power of a wish.

| “I’m happy that I got them. I feel like I can smile all day.” — Eli, 17, lymphoma 😀✨

Elieser’s wish gave him the confidence to share his smile after everything he had been through. What began as a football injury led to an unexpected cancer diagnosis. Over the next six months, Eli endured chemotherapy and its physical challenges, but he remained focused on his future.

“I was the one who broke down because that’s my baby. But he was like, ‘Mom, I got this.’” — Marlina, Eli’s mom 💙

Through it all, Eli continued fighting and even graduated from high school a year early. When it came time to choose his wish, he wished for braces.

After years of feeling self-conscious about his teeth, Eli’s wish gave him more than a straighter smile. It gave him renewed confidence after an incredibly difficult chapter.
