GROW Catering Educational Foundation is a not-for-profit Foundation dedicated to providing educational opportunities for catering professionals and those desiring to become catering professionals. Internal Revenue Service under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. What We Do
GROW Catering Educational Foundation makes arrangements with various educational organizations, trade shows and institutions to teach courses of instruction in catering, food handling and areas related to the field of catering, and provide qualified teaching personnel for such purposes. GROW Catering Educational Foundation supports the international catering industry at large by soliciting, managing and distributing funds for educational and charitable work related to the field of catering.

A little stirring, a little twisting, and a delicious introduction to Bavaria’s culinary traditions!

Following our time in Northern Italy during this month's Culinary Learning Journey, GROW travelers continued to Munich, where our culinary discoveries went well beyond Oktoberfest.

At Münchner Käse Manufaktur, we explored artisan cheesemaking using traditional methods and copper kettles. The dairy brings the craft into the city, using organic milk from a nearby farm—a wonderful opportunity to appreciate the care and skill behind each cheese.

Our group also tried its hands at pretzel making, adding another Bavarian favorite to the experience!

From Northern Italy straight to Munich for Oktoberfest—what a way to continue our recent GROW Culinary Learning Journey!

You don’t have to tell our travelers twice: if we’re headed to the famed Paulaner Festzelt tent, we show up ready for a b**r, with our lederhosen pressed and ready!

The Paulaner Festzelt has been an integral part of the Wiesn since 1895, marked by the large rooftop b**r mug. The b**r service here is quite an operation: an underground pipeline supplies the taps, which can pour up to 15 mugs per minute per tap. One every four seconds keeps the crowd's b**r mugs full!

GROW Culinary Learning Journeys are known for bringing travelers together for unique experiences like this. We’re getting ready for new adventures in 2027 -- there is still room for Argentina and the Baltics. We hope you’ll join us!

Today, our travelers on GROW’s Culinary Learning Journey through Northern Italy visited Villa della Torre by Allegrini for a guided tour, a cooking demonstration and a luncheon of pasta served with three sauces.

The meal included a tasting of Allegrini w**es, including several our travelers may not find back home in the U.S. For dessert, we enjoyed sbrisolona, a crunchy crumb cake from nearby Mantova. It arrived with a mallet so everyone could break off a piece to enjoy!

These are the moments we love about traveling together: learning where a dish comes from, tasting it at the table and sharing the experience with new friends.

One of the pleasures of a GROW Culinary Learning Journey is that a meal becomes a memory of a place. Certainly this meal was iconic in its beautiful setting.

At Vicania, near the Italian region of Lugano in Switzerland, just across the border, we gathered in the garden of an old stone farmhouse on the Castello di Morcote estate. Beneath the mulberry trees, surrounded by green pastures, we enjoyed a leisurely meal built around local ingredients.

It was the kind of afternoon that we think of for this region -- one that invites you to slow down, savor what’s on the table and stay a little longer with friends.

Our GROW Culinary Learning Journey continued through Piedmont today with two stops that seemed made for each other.

First, we visited Acquerello, a family-run farm specializing in Carnaroli rice. Then we headed to the historic Dairy of Cameri to learn about its Gorgonzola.

Rice and cheese: two regional traditions, and all the makings of a very good Italian meal. 🍚🧀

And so it begins! The travelers on our Italian GROW Culinary Learning Journey have arrived in Northern Italy. We’re starting our adventure properly: with lunch in Milan on a rooftop and a beautiful view.

Follow along this week as we experience the aperitivi, culture, lakes and, of course, the unforgettable cuisine of Italy. We can’t wait to share the journey with you!

Discover Argentina, where land, w**e and cuisine become poetry.

Join GROW for a Culinary Learning Journey through Argentina and Uruguay—a journey shaped by flavor, culture, history and the people who bring it all to life. This was one of our most popular trips in 2025. It promises to be even better in 2027 with the addition of Uruguay!

We’ll wander the markets of Buenos Aires, learn the art of making empanadas, savor Argentina’s legendary w**es and cuisine, and experience the rhythm and romance of this unforgettable city.

Then we’ll cross the Río de la Plata to Uruguay and the storybook streets of Colonia del Sacramento, where old-world charm, beautiful w**es and a slower pace await.

But as with every GROW journey, it’s about more than what we taste and where we go. It’s about gathering around tables, meeting the people behind the food, discovering traditions, and sharing experiences that turn fellow travelers into friends.

On GROW Culinary Learning Journeys, food is only the beginning. We pair cuisine with architecture, history, culture and shared experiences that become lasting friendships. Along the way we discover that every place has its own flavor and story that shapes our memory of it.

In 2027, we return to Argentina, a country where food and culture are inseparable. On our last journey, we descended into w**e caves and wandered vineyards, visited gaucho farms where traditions are still very much alive, tasted remarkable Argentine w**es, and learned the art of making empanadas by hand.

And then there was tango—the music, the movement, the passion. Because to understand Argentina, you don’t simply taste it. You experience its rhythms, its landscapes, its traditions and the people who bring them to life.

That is what a GROW Culinary Learning Journey is all about: discovering a place through the stories it tells at the table—and far beyond it.
