Now that Tame Impala’s exceedingly successful European tour has wrapped up, we want to extend a huge thank you to Tame Impala, REVERB, Popcorn Catering, and Musically Fed volunteer Tony Edser for their incredible efforts in repurposing surplus food throughout the tour.
Reflecting on the experience, Tony Edser shared: “Having been made aware of, and seen first hand, the sheer scale of food waste and homelessness internationally, it was particularly rewarding for me to collaborate with Musically Fed and REVERB on the entire Tame Impala tour of Europe and the UK, placing surplus backstage catering into so many worthwhile charities that support those in need.”
We were also honored to receive this message from James Dunn at Lifeshare, Manchester’s oldest homeless charity: “Absolutely amazing food donation to help us feed and treat our friends at Breakfast. Our guests loved the treats. A great big thank you from Lifeshare to Musically Fed, REVERB and Tame Impala in everyone’s battle to reduce food waste and help people in poverty.”
Throughout the tour, we were able to distribute 1100 meals to communities in need. We’re deeply grateful for the opportunity to help redirect this food into the hands of people who need it most, and be part of Tame Impala and REVERB’s sustainability initiative.
