OCA Asian Pacific American Advocates Greater Phoenix Chapter is one of the many chapters of OCA National. OCA National is an Asian Pacific American advocacy organization. Our goal is to obtain political, economic, and social rights for all Asian Pacific Americans, including Pacific Islanders and Middle Easterners. We will accomplish this by promoting civic participation, education, and leadership, fostering cultural heritage, and creating opportunities for young Asian Pacific Americans.

✨ Still reflecting on an incredible week at the 2026 OCA National Conference in Detroit! ✨

Our OCA Greater Phoenix Chapter returned home inspired, energized, and full of new ideas! 💙 Representing our chapter were Astria Wong (President), Janene Wong-Brehmer (Program & Marketing Director), Meghana Mali (Student Intern), and dedicated volunteers Michael Young, Emily Sha, Chris Zhong, and Christopher J Chan. Together, we attended inspiring sessions, connected with OCA leaders and members from across the country, built new friendships, and gained valuable knowledge to bring back to our Arizona community. We were grateful for the opportunity to connect with filmmaker and author Curtis Chin, along with so many inspiring leaders, speakers, and community members.

A heartfelt thank you to Richard Mui, President of OCA Detroit, and the entire OCA Detroit team for being such wonderful hosts! 👏 And thank you to the OCA National team including Thu Nguyen, volunteers, speakers, and sponsors for making the conference such a memorable experience. ❤️
