The Scottsdale clubs have begun their first collaboration! The Rotary Club of Scottsdale, the Rotary of Scottsdale North, and our club have all agreed to work together to collect and deliver new books for the Emily Center at Phoenix Children’s Hospital. See flyer below.

Members may recall that one of Jan’s goals for this year was to donate a children’s book in honor of our speaker after every meeting. Jan found a dire need at the Emily Center at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, which distributes 400–600 books per month to patients and their siblings.

Jan is excited to turn this into an annual event rather than a “one and done,” and is thrilled to partner with the other Rotary clubs in Scottsdale.

It’s with a mix of pride and a heavy heart that we announce our Immediate Past President, Mark Dozier, and his wife Claudia will be relocating to Salisbury, North Carolina, where they’ve purchased a new home to be closer to their children and grandchildren.

Mark has called Scottsdale home for seven years, four of which he spent as an active and dedicated member of our club — including his year of service as our Club President. His leadership, commitment, and friendship have left a lasting mark on all of us.

Mark will continue his membership with our club through the end of the year, at which point he’ll transfer to a Rotary club near Salisbury, continuing his Rotary journey in his new hometown.

Please join us in wishing Mark and Claudia all the best in this exciting new chapter. We will miss them dearly and hope they’ll keep in touch often!
