As counselors, we are lifelong learners. The AzCA Professional Development Committee is committed to supporting Arizona counselors at every stage of their careers by providing opportunities for growth, connection, and continued learning.

As we move into the second half of the year, we encourage members to reflect on their professional goals and identify areas where they would like to expand their knowledge and skills. Whether you are seeking clinical training, supervision experience, leadership development, or networking opportunities, professional development is an investment that benefits both practitioners and the clients we serve.

The committee continues to explore ways to provide meaningful educational opportunities that are relevant, accessible, and responsive to the evolving needs of our profession. We welcome member feedback and ideas for future workshops, presentations, and learning experiences.

Our next meeting is scheduled for Friday, September 4, 2026 from 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Across Arizona, counselors are making a meaningful difference every day.

Through compassion, connection, advocacy, and professional care, counselors help individuals navigate life’s challenges, strengthen families, support mental health and well-being, and inspire hope for brighter futures.

The impact of counseling reaches far beyond the counseling room. It ripples through our schools, workplaces, families, and communities—helping build a stronger, healthier Arizona.

To every counselor who listens, encourages, empowers, and shows up for others: thank you for the difference you make.

Before you pour into everyone else, remember to refill your own cup. 💙

As counselors, compassion is at the heart of what you do—but you deserve that same kindness, grace, and care. Taking time to care for yourself isn't selfish; it's essential to being your best for those you serve.

Before you offer compassion to everyone else, remember to leave some for yourself.
