Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary Our mission at Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is to help save overlooked senior dogs in Arizona find their forever homes.

Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is the only senior-only animal rescues in Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2012 as a non-profit 501[c][3] organization, the focus of FLPS is to save senior animals who are often overlooked by providing them the opportunity to thrive in a safe and caring environment. FLPS serves a public need by offering housing to a limited number of senior pets. This safe hav

en takes the burden of temporary care and housing of senior animals off of local shelters. Inevitably, local shelters resort to euthanizing these abandoned, senior animals at an alarming rate. According to a 2012 statistics report, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) euthanizes one animal every eight minutes it is open to the public. Euthanasia for senior residents is the primary option for most local shelters because they tend to focus their efforts on a high adoption model that includes younger “more adoptable” animals. FLPS works with local shelters and rescues to identify the senior animals in need and provide a streamlined process for interested men, women and families who wish to adopt.

💔 These four have been waiting far too long.

Every day they hope someone will choose them. We’re hoping today is the day someone notices one of them.

🤎 Papi (11 years old, 20 lbs):

The definition of an easygoing best friend. Papi loves leisurely walks, car rides, sleeping in, and bedtime cuddles. He’s fully potty trained, has wonderful manners, gets along with other dogs, and is happiest simply being by your side. If you’re looking for a calm companion to do life with, Papi is your guy.

🩷 Hilda (5.5 years old, 9.8 lbs):

Hilda has been through heartbreak, so she takes a little time to trust, but once she does, all she wants is love. She’ll happily follow you around the house, curl up beside you on the couch, or burrow into a cozy blanket at bedtime. She doesn’t ask for much... just patience, kindness, and someone who won’t give up on her.

🌟 Maui:

Blind. Partially deaf. Completely full of love. Maui doesn’t let his disabilities slow him down. He’s incredibly sweet, dog-friendly, and proves every single day that love isn’t about perfect eyesight or hearing, it’s about having the biggest heart in the room. All he needs is someone willing to see just how amazing he truly is.

🤍 Oscar (8.5 years old, 22 lbs):

Oscar may be shy when you first meet him, especially around men, but give him a little patience (and maybe a few treats), and you’ll discover the sweetest, most loyal companion. He loves quiet walks, rides beautifully in the car, gets excited for Starbucks pup cups, and even sings when it’s time to go outside. His foster mom says she’d keep him if she could.

✨ Every one of these dogs is ready to love someone with their whole heart. They don’t need perfect families! they just need someone willing to give them a chance.

One eye does not slow Chloe down. She’s still ready for adventure and to find her forever home!

Netflix US Maui is ready to share with the world, what it’s like to be blind and partially deaf while searching for a forever home.

This handsome 28lb boy wants nothing more than to share sunshine and warmth with you, whether it’s leaning against your legs, resting his head in your lap, taking a walk with you, or snuggled up on the couch together.

Although blind and hard of hearing, he knows that love doesn’t need to be seen or heard, it should be felt.

He might even like having another doggie friend at home to help him feel less lonely when you’re gone!

This eager-to-please, 10 lb Chihuahua mix is a wonderful combination of wanting to relax next to you on the couch and excited to run errands with you in the car.

Putters ears have worked overtime at the shelter to help him find a foster or forever home..😂 can you share this post to help him out?

Confident and outgoing would certainly be two words to describe this social guy, Putter. This 10-year-old, 16 lb handsome gentleman doesn’t want to miss out on a single moment and is up for anything as long as fun and people are on the agenda.

Putter claims his heritage as being a mix of Spaniel and Chihuahua descent, but we know one thing for certain: his temperament is 100% pure love.

He may be the life of the party, however, he also loves to slow things down a bit with leisurely naps.

Putter wants you to know that he is completely potty-trained and very well leash trained. He loves to take a few extra minutes outside to soak up some sunshine. Putter would be great for an individual, couple, or family. Put Putter in your home and let the fun begin!

He wants to be adopted, but he could also use a foster home to rest his head in, until he does get adopted! 🌸 FOSTER NEEDED FOR LYRA 🌸

Lyra may have arrived at the sanctuary a little shy, but every day she’s proving she’s ready to trust again. 💕

This around 9-year-old Chihuahua mix is already making incredible progress! she’s learning that walks can be fun, making new dog friends, and her sweet personality is beginning to shine.

What Lyra needs now is a patient foster home where she can continue building her confidence, practice her leash skills, and finally experience the comfort of a loving home.

She gets along well with other dogs, enjoys meeting people, and all she really wants is someone willing to give her a chance. 🥹

Sometimes the shyest dogs become the most loyal companions—you just have to be the one who believes in them first.
