Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary

Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary Our mission at Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is to help save overlooked senior dogs in Arizona find their forever homes.

Forever Loved Pet Sanctuary (FLPS) is the only senior-only animal rescues in Maricopa County, Arizona. Formed in 2012 as a non-profit 501[c][3] organization, the focus of FLPS is to save senior animals who are often overlooked by providing them the opportunity to thrive in a safe and caring environment. FLPS serves a public need by offering housing to a limited number of senior pets. This safe hav

en takes the burden of temporary care and housing of senior animals off of local shelters. Inevitably, local shelters resort to euthanizing these abandoned, senior animals at an alarming rate. According to a 2012 statistics report, Maricopa County Animal Care and Control (MCACC) euthanizes one animal every eight minutes it is open to the public. Euthanasia for senior residents is the primary option for most local shelters because they tend to focus their efforts on a high adoption model that includes younger “more adoptable” animals. FLPS works with local shelters and rescues to identify the senior animals in need and provide a streamlined process for interested men, women and families who wish to adopt.

Auto is hoping the algorithm works its magic today. ❤️

He’s watched other dogs find their families while he keeps waiting for his turn.

He’s not a puppy anymore, but that doesn’t mean he deserves any less love, comfort, or belonging.

Please help us share Auto’s story. The right person may be just one share away from finding him.

He is a 12-year-old Chihuahua mix at 17 lbs.

He is a charming boy whose previous owner, according to the landlord/surrender, was evicted and thus the landlord inherited Auto when he was left behind. The landlord took him into their home and integrated him into the household with three other dogs, but he couldn’t keep Auto.

That’s why he’s here waiting for you to adopt him!

Penny’s happy ending is here! 🩷🐾

After recently losing her beloved dog Fiesta, two-time adopter Rebecca knew her dog Lily needed a new best friend and she was hoping to find a cuddle buddy for herself, too.

It only took one meeting with Penny to know she was the one.

Now known as Denny, named in honor of Rebecca’s late brother, this sweet girl is settling into her new life with her new sister Lily. From car rides to couch cuddles, Denny is already soaking up all the love she deserves.

And those eyes? Even from her car seat, she still looks up at you with the same sweet expression that stole all of our hearts. 💕

We were completely smitten with Penny, and we’re so happy she found the perfect family.

Happy forever, sweet Penny—now Denny. ❤️

💔 Over a year.

That’s how long Oscar has been waiting for a family of his own.

He has tall legs, a cute face, & 22 pounds of charm. He’s 8 years old and a Chihuahua mix with a heart that just wants a fresh start.

He’s shy at first (especially with men), but win him over with patience and snacks, and he’ll be your most loyal sidekick.

He’s house-trained, loves quiet walks, ride like a champ in the car, and he is now also discovering the joy of Starbucks pup cups.

Oscar says he is looking for: “a kind, patient person who can help me feel safe and loved. In return, I’ll be your affectionate,well-behaved best friend”

After more than a year in rescue, we’re hoping his person finally sees this post.

Could that be you? ❤️

❤️ One can’t hear. One can’t see. But together, they’re unstoppable. ❤️

For over 8 months, Daisy and Hershey have been waiting for a family to call their own. 🥹

Meet the pair whose names say it all: Daisy is a sunny, joyful companion; Hershey is sweet as a chocolate kiss. Although they qualify as seniors at 7 years old, they’re just big ol’ puppies at heart. They crave endless love and snuggles, but get those leashes out, and they’ll waste no time getting ready for morning walkies! Only about 15lb each, they walk well as a pair or separately, and they know they’re juuust small enough to both squeeze onto your lap.

Although Daisy is deaf, and Hershey is blind, they use their twin telepathy to move super confidently through the world together. In fact, this dynamic duo has perfected their canine communication so well with each other that they’d like to keep it a two-way call… no other dogs please! If you think you’re the right human for these love bugs, send over your calling card and fill out an app today!
