Sun Country Terrier Club Sun Country Terrier Club’s vision is to promote responsible terrier ownership, friendly competition, education and fun with terriers.

Sun Country Terrier Club was founded in November 1993, through the aspirations of four Arizona terrier enthusiasts. Ted Rutherford, Robert Lucas, Ed Dalton and Hal Heubel sat down together on many Saturday evenings creating first a dream and finally a plan to start a Terrier Club in the Valley. Starting with 28 charter members, Sun Country Terrier Club has evolved to a membership of approximately 75 terrier enthusiasts.

AKC has approved LDKC's 2027 Special Attractions. Also approved: 4-6 Beginner Puppy (Sunday & Monday) and Open Shows (Sunday & Monday).

2027 Heart of the Desert Classic is February 4-8, 2027, Phoenix, AZ at the Arizona State Fair

Lost Dutchman Kennel Club applications for its 2027 All-Breeds, 4-6 Beginner Puppy, Rally and Open Shows are now posted on AKC Event Search and Results Update: https://webapps.akc.org/event-search/ #/search

Entry fees are the same as the last Heart of the Desert Classic events: $34 first entry, $26 second entry with Juniors $15 or free as second entry.

Next up is judge assignments (which should be completed by the end of the summer) and approval of our signature Special Attractions. Stay tuned to this page for periodic updates.

P.S. YES, LDKC will offer Brace on Monday plus the Special Attractions applications include requests to hold Altered Veteran and Best CH Bred-by-Exhibitor.
