Now that the cast is announced...here's a sneak peak of what you will get to see at Dreamgirls. This is the wonderful Chanel Bragg who was cast as Effie in our upcoming production. Here she is performing a song from the show at The Soul of Broadway performance in 2012.

DFT Friends, some of you may remember, Libby Skala, we presented two of her one-woman shows a few years ago, Lilia (about her Grandmother) and A Time to Dance about her great aunt. She has written another work which premiered in New York last week. Here are some great reviews. Our young actors may remember having worked with her when she did an artist-in-residence program at Black Mountain Elementary School. Congratulations for the success, Libby!!!

Hey all...Obviously it's been a while since we posted here. We are cleaning up our names. We are no longer the DFT Conservatory of Performing Arts...It's just Desert Foothills Theater Education. We are no longer DFT Gecko Teatro Youth Theater, we are Desert Foothills Youth Theater. All information on our classes and programs may be found on our website first http://www.dftheater.org then on our Desert Foothills Theater webpage, OR in our Desert Foothills Youth Theater group. We have a huge variety of classes (and a NEW added location closer to the Desert Ridge/Grayhawk area). Whether you are just starting out OR want to really spend some time honing your craft, we have something for you! Auditions are OPEN TO ALL!

Hello all! DFT COPA (Conservatory of Performing Arts) classes are open for registration now at http://www.desertfoothillstheater.com. Classes offered at Black Mountain Elementary School and Horseshoe Trails Elementary School will be listed in the Desert Foothills Community Education book distributed to all CCUSD schools when school starts again in January!

Desert Foothills Theater is an award-winning community theater and youth theater presenting work for over 36 years.

WE have two great classes starting tomorrow! Adult scene study and What a Character for those ages 11-16--both taught by Petey Swartz! These are great classes to really get some in-depth training.
