Booker is a six-month-old Miniature Poodle/Shih Tzu mix who weighs about seven pounds. This fluffy b&w sweetheart is full of snuggles and kisses and would happily spend the day curled up in someone’s lap.
On October 8, Booker was hit by a car in Tucson. A kind bystander brought him to an emergency veterinarian, where he was found to have a severe, displaced fracture of his humerus (the upper leg bone between the shoulder and elbow). Booker needs surgery to realign the bone and secure it with a plate and screws. The current estimate is $5,800–$6,800.
We would be deeply grateful for donations to help cover Booker’s surgery and after care. Afterward, he’ll need six weeks of crate rest in the home of a medical foster.
Arizona Poodle Rescue is currently caring for several dogs with significant medical/surgical needs. Ongoing donations make it possible for us to help dogs like Booker🤍vulnerable pups with serious injuries and no one else to advocate for them. Without your donations he would likely have been either euthanized or his leg would have been amputated.
Please join us in helping Booker heal and find his way to a loving forever home. Thank you for being part of his journey.
